This is our City: Champions League Secure

Champions League Secure

Manchester City have secured at least a 4th place finish in the Premier League with a 1-0 win over Spurs, almost one year to the day that Peter Crouch broke City hearts with a winning header, he scored again. Same player, same fixture, same stadium, same net, his own goal was enough for City to claim victory and at the least 4th spot.

We were not at our best in the game, conceding possession all over the park but we defended well and still created some very good chances. Dzeko is still to convince me and I think Zabaleta is a much better player at left back than Kolarov, James Milner looks very decent in the middle of the pitch it should be said.

Joe Hart made a fantastic save to keep out Pienaar's header and that ultimately gave us the victory, just as in the Semi Final against Man Utd he made a stunning save to keep us in that game too. He is a massive asset to the club and hopefully will be for many years.

We look ahead now to the FA Cup final against Stoke, hopefully the team goes into that game with full determination and ambition. With silverware and a Champions League place, what a top season I think many will agree.

I'm very interested in who Mancini will attempt to sign over the summer now, with not just the lure of cash but also the top tier of world club football to offer. Who would you like to see at Eastlands next year?

  1. My bet is Jan Vertonghen, Gaston Ramirez, (Andre Pirlo on a free), Christian Derflinger, Alexi Sanchez and a striker of which could be anyone.

Those players would take us to the top without any doubt.
