Carlos Tevez will more than likely be on the bench for the Spurs game if he is fit in time, I believe despite how much we have improved this season that, we are still not firing on all cylinders.
We have been very sloppy at times due to either fatigue or just plain lack of commitment from the odd player, after seeing the latest interview with Balotelli it is clear to see he is far from ready for us.
His football ability is definitely not in question here but his commitment is, If Vieira and Mancini can not sort this out sharpish then Balotelli is better off on the bench for our sake.
Harry Redknapp clearly sees how strong City could be, are and is under no illusions confirming that City will be a force next season. He will be hoping for another half glass of commitment from City, the same show Everton were gifted.
Harry also seems to think we have rapped up atleast two mind blowing players already, my understanding is that we are looking at a couple Belgium lads but whether they are those in question will remain to be seen.
It is clear we are not the finished product and like I said halfway through the season, we are in need of four or five new faces.
Three points will all but rap up Alexi Sanchez's signature if the pap are to be believed, our players know that new faces will be arriving next season so will be wanting to go out with the biggest bang possible to cement their places for next season if they know whats good for them.
The last few seasons have seen Spurs as bit of a boggy team alongside Everton but it is high time we prove a point with the squad we have, anything other than 100% commitment in this game is not good enough.
Both teams have their share of injuries so there really is no excuses from either side.
I'm going to put my neck on the line and predict a City win, City 3 - 1 Spurs
English as a second language is it?
ReplyDeleteWho rattled your cage!
ReplyDeleteI agree with everything you have said. I will go one further and say that certain players are a bad influence on the team whilst others are pillars of the squad.
ReplyDeleteLet me highlight the pillars that I feel are well on their way to becoming City Legends and I think always put a shift in no matter what:
Vinny
Nigel
Pab
Toure
Silva
AJ
Micah
We'd all like to say Tevez as well but I feel a bit let down by him this last half of the season and I think his commitment has been something that has been questionable. For what it's worth I think he's already on his way but I hope with CL qualification that the players I expect he wanted to work alongside will arrive. If not then Bon Voyage and thanks Carlos.
Lets hope we will see some mind blowing arrivals and for all that's worth let's hope they too are winning characters and not half baked puddings.
On other notes I think Balotelli will come good, I think Dzeko will deffo be a star for us. I think Kolarov has one more season, the left back position has been a problem for us for years but honestly he is the best we have had since Sven.
I hope Boateng appears on the horizon next year for us as he definitely has a lot of promise. I also hope Kolo is allowed back and that Lescott goes from strength to strength but he does seem a little out of his depth still.
First we need the points tonight and then that should give us confidence going to Wembley at the weekend.
No matter what gents even if Stoke do a job on us we shouldn't leave like the rags did, keep singing and get behind the squad they have brought us a lot of enjoyment this season collectively and deserve our support.
You missed Hart out of your pillar list, I also think Dzeko will come good eventually. We still have a number of youngsters fighting for first team and some fighting for promotion to the first team to look forward too. I am also in full confidence for Boateng too and believe hes getting a bit of harsh critisism, I belive he will come good but most do not realise he is not a right back and that he is a center back.
ReplyDeleteOne thing I don't truely understand is why Mancini is not playing him with Kompany when Boateng is fit.
Tottenham will give you a good hiding tonight, as usual. Your club is pathetic, a yo yo club thats gotten rich who desperately try to sign any so called world class player and as you know most of them turn you down, cos your club is a nobody. Spurs will teach you a lesson, again, tonight.

ReplyDeleteYou better pray City dont give your club a hiding because if we do, ill be giving you a good online hiding for your arrogance.
One thing I have got to say though is, with all due respect to the FA Cup, I see our last two Stoke games as bigger games than the Spurs game.
ReplyDeleteStoke are more prestigious opponents than spurs 'Balotelli wink'
Spurs go down easier than a $1 hor, how many noses does Crouch get away with breaking before hes booked.
ReplyDeleteCorluka is a cheat, modric goes down way to easy and our lads have done a fantastic job, well done lads.
You deserve Champions League footy as do our fans.
How about that then spurs guvnor, your not worth a hiding or my time.
What makes it a little more sweeter is that Crouch scored the goal, a player I can not stand the site of.
Here's another one for you spurs guvnor, 'what goes around comes around'. 'Balotelli wink'
Get in there CityBlue :)
ReplyDeleteA cagey performance from up I thought at times, one eye on the FA cup final I think. Spurs threatened but our defence was resolute and yeah I forgot Hart, what a great save he pulled off.
Bye Bye CL from spurs it was nice knowing you, I wonder who you're going to have to sell now, I feel a bid for Bale coming up! Maybe not from us, we have bigger fish to fry.
So what about it Carlos we all know how good you are. We don't want you to leave "you / we can still turn it around" Sign a new contract and let's fight for the league and the CL league next season.
A big thanks to all of the team tonight we got the result and that's all that matter.
Bring on Saturday "Woo Hoo I can't wait" :)
