Dzeko Scores 1st Premier League Goal!

Edin Dzeko's 75th minute strike secured the 3 points for City, Dzeko had been heavily criticised for a mediocre start to City life scoring only against Aris and Notts County. After Fernando Torres scored his first Premier League goal last night, Dzeko it seemed was not to be stood up.

David Silva's deflected shot landed at the feet of the Bosnian, who took a touch and smashed it past a diving Robinson. The game started out looking good for the blues who dominated early proceedings, and hit the post after just 3 minutes with a superb half volley from David Silva.

We had over 70% of the first half possession but just couldn't seem to find that opening goal, more and more Blackburn came into the game and more and more we dropped into their style of play. This suited them more than us and we were conceding lots of chances and annoyingly free kicks.

With our zonal marking system we always look suspect defending set pieces with the problems caused by Blackburn, I'm a little worried about playing Stoke in the FA Cup Final.

The win tonight put us 4 points clear of Spurs and they have to travel away to Chelsea next while we have a home game against West Ham. After next weekend we could be 7 points clear of them and they still have to play an increasingly strong Liverpool. It's looking good for us!

Let's all do the Poznan!

  1. Yeah! Manchester is one of my favorite soccer team. This team is awesome and does have a great reputation. I hope they will make it to the end.
