West Ham Match Verdict, In Support Of Snoods And A Christmas Jolly

Well I'm sad to say I could not make it to the West Ham game but then again I would have probably lost my voice by showing referee Phil Dowd zero percent respect, It just shows us exactly what we are up against now and especially away from home.

Key moments that stood out to me were first in the 5th minute Scott Parker should have been booked with a yellow card for a tackle on Yaya, Parker continued to clip the heels of Yaya over and over during the game with no punishment what so ever from Referee Phil Dowd.

Next came the 46th minute booking of ex City defender Tal Ben Haim which almost never happened at all, Ben Haim hacked down David Silva and then proceeded to launch a face to face confrontation which should have warranted a red card. I never did like the nasty piece of work player even when he was a City player, with his temper and dirty tackles it is a wonder he has not ended someones career to date.

Then came the theatrically clear video evidence proving dive from Zavon Hines on the edge of Joe Hart's eighteen yard box, Zabaleta as wrongfully booked with a yellow which in the end could have turned the game in West Hams favour had City not been a few goals up already and it being so late in the game.

With that said our players did us very proud and I wish to congratulate them all on a job well done, I have said it on more than one occasion and ill say it again our away fans deserve to go away with more happy memories for the support they give on the road.

Snoods, as an ex all weather cross country athlete I believe I am more than qualified to make this statement, it is a given fact that the UK and the world even are being subjected to worsening weather change.

This year and the year before have been our coldest winters since I can remember here in the UK and it is predicted that it will only get worse due to global warming etc, some are ignorant to global warming but others like I are very aware.

Recently we have seen Premier League players including our very own Carlos Tevez, Yaya and Balotelli wearing snoods, a tube of cloth that hangs around your neck and face kind of like a scarf.

Recently we have had so called ex hard man footballers come out and air their opinion on Snoods, how they would never have worn such things in their day and how they would be embarrassed if they did.

Now fellow footballers have started adding their opinions and one of them, reigning hypocrite footballer of the world Rio Ferdinand had something to say on his little twitter feed.

Quote: 'I'm telling u tweeps, U won't see a Man Utd player wearing a SNOOD'

*Now that to me smacks of someone playing the 'we are tough enough to not need Snoods' card, pity they are not intelligent enough to realise the pro's to keeping your body warm.

The fact that Trafford Uniteds training ground is closed off like Chelsea's training ground means they do not have to deal with weather as much as an open to all weather training ground not that this is an excuse.

It is a fact the body performs better under warmer conditions than it does under colder conditions but that is not enough to satisfy some, to be honest I don't even know why Snood's are such an issue.

I can promise you one thing for sure, send Rio Ferdinand to Russia playing football for six months and I bet he will be singing a different tune in no time.

Did I forget to mention most of the players wearing Snood's actually originate from warmer climates?

I challenge Rio Ferdinand to take a flight to Scotland right now and run 25 miles in nothing but shorts and t-shirt, or Africa for 25 miles and then play the tough man card which also goes for the rest of the Snood whiners.

The Christmas Jolly being the joke I am about to share with you.

It has been reported that wait for it 'big pause', West Ham are about to launch a £15 million bid for Shaun Wright Philips, Roque Santa Cruz and none other than 'the priceless as far as I am concerned' Michael Johnson.

All I can say is don't be putting such things on your list to Santa oh Hammers, Michael Johnson to me is Mr Manchester City and should never be sold.

As for Shaun and Cruz, well you will have to up the offer to £20+ million without Michael Johnson who is now almost back fit and ready.
