Cheating Everton Verdict, Still In Top Four But Corrupt Referee's Still Our Problem

Our club will probably do nothing about it because the FA are as corrupt as Fifa, this show respect for referee's campaign is a complete joke as we are just allowing referee's to walk over us and get away with anything and everything.

I have replayed the full 90 odd minutes of the game versus Everton and there is clear video evidence of Everton fielding 11 goalkeepers and a referee as corrupt as a leaking battery.

Hold your heads high City fans because there is nothing to feel down for, our players maybe guilty of an extremely poor first half handing two goals on a golden plate for Everton but they tried and tried their best to come back.

Sure we did not deserve to lose and Everton robbed us in broad daylight but that is whats wrong with parts of Great Britain highlighting Everton itself and all we can do is move on.

On the up side they gain nothing more than three points from it, we can only hope they get caught in a relegation fight for their lower than despicable team of Thierry Henry's and have a miserable end of year.

Referee Peter Walton has to go down in history as the worst ever Premier League referee after failing to award City rightful penalties, atleast three of the six handballs were as clear as clear glass. Atleast two Everton players should have been sent off, the other being Fellaini when he showed his studs on a City player a second time in the game.

If cheating is what makes them happy then so be it, video footage clearly shows who is right and who was wrong so we will leave it at that.

Moving on I wish all City fans a very Merry Christmas and hope it brings us what we need, see you all on Boxing Day and here's to a happy ending to the Newcastle game.

Spot on with your summery. We will have to get on with the job in hand…. Securing Champions league football.
We are crying out for a top draw goal scorer. With regards to Everton their tactics were spot on last night however the scenes after the game show how far we have come Everton celebrated as if they had won the world cup.. Glad I don’t have to watch their style of football every week. A club in my opinion who will be playing champinshp football next season good to see the back of them.

Sad, yes there were some occasions when the ball met the hand, however the memory is short when you cast you mind back to the underhand way you went about getting Lescott, my how he has progressed in the city system....

  4. Anonymous21/12/10

The celebration from the Everton players was not due to who they beat but rather that they hadn't won a game since October 30th.

  5. Anonymous21/12/10

yeyeyeye a resilient defence full of handball Henry's, as for the celebrating well you must be delusional if you think that fact it was City ment nothing.

lmao hopefully that is your luck used up in just that one game.

Do you have any plans to apologize to Peter Walton or Everton F.C.

I wrote a long detailed comment outlining your major issues with the game. It wasnt vulgar or anything like that...just wondering why it isnt up there? Said it had to be authenticated or something... I'm assuming you just dont want it on the blog....

no worries like.. but it weakens your position quite a bit when you dont allow free debate of the issues

Lmao no I would not apologise to either even if my life depended on it, if anything both those parties owe us and apology for clear cut cheating.

You cannot defame an individual based on your personal interpretation of a football game. You would be better off apologizing now before your hand is forced.

  12. Why aren't you publishing the reasonable replies from City fans who happen to disagree with you?

Seems like a very odd thing to do.

Besides, isn't internet trolling mainly about revelling in the attention?

Norf, as far as I am aware there has only been one comment on this article from a so called 20 year City fan, who proceeded to bad mouth me claiming I was giving City fans a bad name.

Maybe that particular City fan cares what opposing fans think of them, but that did not give them the right to abuse me, hence me not publishing his rant.

If someone wants me to publish their rant then the least they could do is keep it clean of abuse.

the result was the result and no matter what is said by either Everton or City fans, City could not break down Everton, City have not beaten Everton for a while and from this performance unless City get some passion , they will always struggle against teams who have bottle and are willing to throw themselves in front of anything with anything

City just don't have the spirit and never look like a topspot team yesterday.
Everton wisely took advance of city's sloppy defence and actually score two fine goals!

Sure City could not beat Everton, a team full of Henry's like I said before willing to throw themselves infront of anything including throwing their arms infront of shots.

I would like to give this article as much time as City got out of the Game NOTHING !!! My Father in law is a City fan and atleast was reasonable enough to say Anichebe shouldnt have recieved the 1st Yellow card anyway !! We Should also mention a certin High shot from Balotelli that went unpunished by the referee and surely that would suggest it WASN't just city who got bad decisions !! Think you should remove those Sky blue blinkers you've got on !! See you in the Prem next season as EFC aren't going down anytime soon !!!

To be fairly honest, Everton were under the kosh for the majority of the game, getting 11 men behind the ball (not pretty football) and blocking every shot that was goal bound. It's simple maths that balls would've hit arms and whatnot. There were three incidents when the ball clearly hit a wrist, a hand and an arm. Two of which were ball to hand (the arms and hand were either tucked in front of the body, or general swinging movement when Neville (i think) swung round), and the other was Jo. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but the rule is deliberate handball, none of which were so.
This takes nothing away from the fact that Man City were knocking on the door most of the game, you were just unlucky not to equalise or even win.

Also, I believe the Everton players were celebrating because of how they hung in and did not concede again, and that they hadn't won a game for a long while.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Anonymous21/12/10

then your voluntarily blind for your own cause and I ask you to rerun the game and think again, Neville delibrately swinged his arm in the way of the shot so was a clear handball. Two other Everton players also throw themselves infront of shots, just because your arms are by your side does not make them any less a handball.

People have been playing way to much table footy.

I was at last night’s game. And Everton cheated right through the whole match… Howard was a disgrace his time wasting tactics should have brought a yellow card but time and time again he escaped punishment. There is no love lost between us the two clubs so get over it. Lets move on. Everton can carry on trying to save of relegation… as in the words of the song “thank God is them and not us” he he

No clueless would be to let lesser people abuse others freely, clueless would be to encourage abuse by publishing it.

I have not cared what opposing clubs fans think or thought for 30 odd years so why would I care now, it is not Shiekh Mansour's money that made us thick skinned.

Let them think what they want, if it bothers you so much then maybe you should ask yourself why?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Anonymous21/12/10

Yep, have to agree with the blog post. The referee was clearly cheating and completely biased towards Everton. He tried to make it even easier for them to win by sending off their worst player, Anichebe, with half an hour to go.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Anonymous21/12/10

Ye thats one way to look at it, forcing Everton to park the bus and disallow any of City's shouts for atleast two clear cut penalties in the last 30 minutes.

sending off aniwhatsit made no difference at all. it just meant liverpools second eleven switched to 9-0-0 from 9-0-1 and didn't have anyone to chase after panicky punts out of defence.
Personally I got something from the game, it's the first time I ever saw a game where one side starting time-wasting after 6 minutes, received 35 warnings for it and no bookings. School of Science? don't make me laugh. Also noticed the samoan get away with 6 clear fouls and about 4 warnings without a sniff of a yellow. We all know what peter walton is, time we did something about it city.

until the second goal went in Everton played well, nothing special but well.

Everton played 30 mins with 10 men.

The second goal was a top finish. Kompany ran off and left the best header of the ball in the prem, if not the world with the simplest of finishes.

We could not break their defence down.

Our only goal was an unlucky deflection.

Did I mention that Everton played away from home? I would expect any team 2-0 up, considering they have not won since October to do exactly the same. Considering the players we had on the field, let alone the bench Mr Moyes got it spot on.

We did deserve a pen or two, but if every decision all season went our way who knows were we would be?

Us city fans need to remember it's not so long ago we played similar football.

The statistics hinted at City domination with 67% possession, 11 corners to nil, 25 shots to Everton's 100% return from two efforts on target - but they lie about the true tale of the match.

Everton survived the second-half sending off of Victor Anichebe for a second yellow card, with City unable to profit from the numerical disadvantage they enjoyed until Kolo Toure also received a red card in the final moments.

It set the seal on a night of frustration. City have flourished away from home in recent weeks, but against a side set out as shrewdly as Moyes deployed Everton, they may struggle to impose themselves at home.

Marouane Fellaini and Jack Rodwell patrolled central midfield with excellence, while Tim Howard was a tower of strength in goal.

And City's reliance on individuals to mount a title charge may just fall short if one of the individuals they rely on is Mario Balotelli, who was awful.

Temperament is something Mancini might accept, timidity is another matter. The Italian hit a post in the second half, but a regular requirement for a rocket in the general direction of this high maintenance individual may become trying. Too often the commitment was not there, the shrug of the shoulders and the scowl all too readily on show.

No-one has quite worked out what the workings are inside this undoubtedly talented youngster's head. Mancini is confident he can decipher the code, but on recent evidence we can only wish him the best of luck.

City cannot be written off as a title proposition on the basis of one off-colour performance after showing such promise in recent weeks, but Everton delivered a brutal collision with reality. Start games slowly and any side will prove unforgiving, even one that has been as inconsistent as Everton.

Mancini is also in the fortunate position of being able to play the markets armed with vast wealth in January should he feel the flaws exposed by Everton need addressing as a matter of urgency.

Everton boss Moyes, in contrast, will be in the bargain basement once more. Loans will be the order of the day, and judging by the activity on Landon Donovan's Twitter account in the minutes after the final whistle at Eastlands, it would appear he is sending out the right signals towards a return to Goodison Park.

Moyes must hope this outstanding victory does not provide another false dawn. It was compelling evidence that Everton should be faring much better than they are.

City's supporters were relatively sanguine in defeat. They know so much of what their club is doing is right and better days and nights lie ahead than this one. After all, they are third in the league at Christmas - and most fans would be happy with that.

But after the tidings of comfort and joy that had been heading their way, history told them to expect the sort of hefty bump Everton gave them.

The goals were good even if the second one was in Zab's absence. The ref was poor - worse for us than them but did miss some things for them too.
This is half way through the season and we are third and at worst once games are level 4th. I am happy with that. A long way to go and we will get better. Super Mario is clearly improving and until he got sulky at the end was bouncing back up when knocked over.
Everton so what. We will improve and go places. they won't.

While the money is there you have a chance, but it has to be spent wisely. Hughes did not really do that. Its no good having good players if they don't gel. Lescott is a prime example, a good player but not showing it there. Attitude is important and your young striker does not have a good one yet. His reaction when he missed easy chances reminded me of a spoilt kid.

Certainly did the job of winding up a few, with that said I still believe we were robbed by one or two Everton players and the ref.

There is definitely a large collective of Everton fans in the category of pot calling kettle black, their rants amuse me so much that I find it hard no to enjoy hitting the delete button just to make it all the more satifying.

I am only saying what many are scared to say, maybe a few months down the line you will find yourselves at the mercy of a referee like Peter Walton and one or two cheating players and only then you will feel wronged.

Will you however have the strength to speak up or will you hide in a corner and accept defeat like a weak human being.

Answer: No not short sighted just open and forward, what you say about pretty much every fan says it all when they are defending referee Peter Walton as much as they are Everton.

No Everton never cheat and never would ever and all referee's are obsolutely squeecky clean, even when they are acting against my own club.

My thai wife was gutted when we lost (as usual) to Everton. They are useless against everyone but us, but you could see from the first minute that everton knew they were going to win.

Man City are Thaksin's team, symbolically, the team of the thai "red shirt" uprising, and democracy. Sponsored by Singha beer. The profits that Thaksin made on the sale to Sheik Mansour have been funding the pro-democracy movement in thailand.

Everton's Chang Beer sponsorship was proposed by one of the thai generals who illegally overthrew Thaksin, and who was also a toffees fan. They are the yellow shirt's team - the team of the thai royal / military elite. everytime the people of thailand vote for Thaksin, or one of his party, they just overturn the result.

Outside of Bangkok, Thaksin is the only politician who has ever done anything for the rest of the people of thailand. He took a failing basket case economy, turned it around, and instituted the thai equivalent of the NHS. He was only ousted because he refused to give the mayor of Bangkok a cut of the national lottery. The half-finished motorways of northern thailand, with earth moving equipment rusting next to them, stands testement to the the reversal of Frank's policies. All money now flows back to the corrupt generals in the capital, and the richest monarchy on earth.

I bet most of you didn't know this.
My 42 year-old Mrs is city through and through, and she loves me long time with her lovely sky-blue home strip on in bed.

I've grown to hate Everton, Gollem, that twat whose hair looks like he should have a chin strap, even more than Spurs, or dare I say it, Stretford utd.

There is an old saying - luck evens itself out over a season. Everton have had absolutly no luck this season, until Monday night. We have battered teams such as Villa and Blackburn without getting the rub of the green. On Monday, yes, there were a couple of handballs that could have led to a penalty - fair call, but it was ball to hand in each occasion, we just got lucky with the decision. As for the sendings off, yes, Fellaini could have gone, but then Anichebe (as did Toure) walked for two fouls - but Kompany was booked only after his third foul, and Ya Ya and Bellatoni could easily have walked for cynical fouls. The fact of the matter is the Referee was truly awful, City for all their quality, lack real bottle and if they are to win the title will need to get together more as a unit. I wish City good luck.

One Everton fan had the front to use Millwall as an excuse to say we were heading down the same road of being hated.

With the amount of vile abuse I have recieved from Everton fans replying to this article, it definitely is pot calling kettle black not to mention saying we have no class.

Over one thousand vile replies from Evertonians and we have no class, now that is very interesting.

Sometimes I wish fans would stop moaning and get on with the supporting of the clubs we love. Man city fans should be happy with the fact that they have so much money to buy players and thus buy throphies, as this does not make you a great team at all. Just a team that as a silver spoon and teams like blackpool, west brom and Everton deserve alot more credit as they achieve alot more with a lot less. When man city have won as many titles as liverpool, Man u, aresnal and everton then you can shout something. But then again if you did then it would be just spending more than anyone else.
