It's Time To Ignore The Circus And Concentrate On Manchester City, Everton A Must Win

With The Daily Mail, Daily Star, The Metro, The Guardian and the News of the World in full swing, trying to get you to believe Tevez wants to return to United. Also that Chelsea ever so conveniently wanting City striker Carlos Tevez and City's top target Edin Dzeko at Stamford Bridge despite the fact they already have Didier Drogba, Salomon Kalou and Le Sulk.

Lets cover Barcelona and Manchester City for a minute here and gain some perspective, It is clear that Barcelona have some financial trouble but it is not as damning as our unwanted neighbours.

It is not realistic to think they would start selling their best players just because of a bit of debt, they would far more likely sell academy players to settle their financial situation. The Andres Iniesta interest is as far as I am concerned nothing more than a rumour, Dani Alves on the other hand is a different situation as we all know about his ongoing contract dispute.

How fitting that David Platt comes out halfway through me producing this article to play down any link with Iniesta.

Considering who our next opponents are it was only a matter of time before David Moyes opened his fat trap, it seems the Lescott factor is still fresh in their minds over at Everton. One thing that is for certain is that we owe them one for our last meeting, just waiting for Tim Cahill to follow his boss and don't be surprised to see Steven Pienaar on Everton's squad sheet.

It is a regular custom for certain clubs to beg for media attention by claiming certain players are injured, only to find they have made a miracle recovery in time to boost their numbers.

I am hoping for three points against Everton and really do think we owe them one, which would give us a good platform for the new year to push on.

Stephen Ireland is apparently taking us to court after City stopped settlement payment after Ireland broke contractual rules by bad mouthing Manchester City twice to the media.

What we need to do is focus on Manchester City right now until the January transfer window opens by ignoring the media, and believe nothing until we hear it from the horses mouth so to speak.

Just to help you along , Pienaar was injured against Chelsea , 2 games ago then played against Wigan having not trained all week , he came off after taking another knock after 60 minutes . You are right , you should focus on your own problems , not Everton's , however I do understand if you are that desperate to see Everton field a weakened team . Scared of a team thats only won 3 games this season ? oh dear , you do need to concentrate on your own problems don't you ? Your missive is fraught with the problems of other teams .... Why , I wonder ? Not the words of a confident fan of a cash rich club should be saying

Focus on our own problems?, as far as I am concerned City / we have no problems other than rubbish spouted by the media which I will add are completely unfounded.

I am not worried about Everton and neither worried whether you borrow Uniteds squad to play against us, just merely pointing out how some clubs beg for media attention.

Unlike some we City fans know the difference between confidence and arrogance, it seems only now you are being forced to learn such by way of your position this season along with Liverpool. Pity United amd Arsenal are not in the same situation as they could do with a large portion of humbling.

I don't expect us to win every game just because we are as you say cash rich, that arrogance is reserved for clubs fans like United and Real Madrid.

I will say though that we should beat you if we turn up on the day and weather don't hinder the game.

My prediction being City 3 Everton 1

Yeah, we are nervous of everton. They are one of our bogey teams. Don't do yourselves down, anonymous, everton aren't as weak as you think. I'd be very happy for everon to be weakened by injuries.

If we win at everton, it will feel like another step forward to me, we'll deserve our spot at the top of the premiership on christmas day.

The person you referred to as "Mr Manchester City", did an interview with the Express where he revealed that he is a Leeds Utd fan, and wants to move to Leeds Utd.

"You shouldn't believe everything you read in a newspaper", that's not to say everything in the papers is made up.

I just read a post on Wiki Leaks. Apparently British newspapers involved in conspiracy against Manchester City.

Tom Blake, you must have a very boring life if you have been waiting in the wings just to point out the first thing you get your hands on.

Yes M Johnson supported Leeds when he was a kid, yes M Johnson came from Everton schoolboys BUT. He is also a Manchester born player who has developed into the player he is at Manchester City FC and has a very big link with the City faithful, he knows City fans worship him and would only ever leave City id he was surplus and it would not be to the liking of City fans.

Getting to the point I call you a liar for altering the story to fit your purpose, M Johnson has said he would like to go to Leeds on loan if he fails to gain first team football at City and never mentioned anything about leaving City ever.

He is Mr Manchester City and the fact he is still at City speaks for itself after years and years of injuries.

I have a sneaky suspicion that you actually checked out the Wiki Leaks web site even if you won't admit it.

"I'd love to play for them and a loan deal would be an ideal scenario."

The point I was trying to make is that it is stupid to appoint anyone as mister football club. Suitations change all the time. This time two years ago City fans probably referred to Stephen Ireland as "Mr Man City"

My Answer to that would be 'No I have never been on Wikileaksc but yes I do know of Wikileaks.

I published your comment just to entertain you, along with the fact you did not write anything unpublishable in my opinion.

I actually found your comment idle and meaningless but allowed you your moment of sarcasm so the least you could do is accomodate me.

I think you publised both comments before you saw the joke.

Tom Blake, No we actually referred to Stephen Ireland as Superman i.e. his pants, M Johnson was the player that really sparked City fans immaginations and if it was not for his injuries probably would have made the Premier League his own playground.

We can only hope and pray M Johnson can hit the same heights he showed before his injury.

I am an honest person and will abmit I did not pay much attention to your first comment until after publishing your second comment, however I still did not check Wikileaks or even think of doing so.

    Sorry

  15. Yes, Everton are a bogey team. But the nervousness runs deeper than that. City fans still can't believe that a winning team is actually appearing before their eyes. History is the cause; City haven't been very successful for decades. Yet, it seems are really looking good: Mancini is really organising the team; the squad is solid; plenty of cash for ground development; and owners who believe in honour, so they'll never pull out, they want sustained success. In fact, City are in such good straits that it is almost unbelievable. In fact things are so good that no one is really worried at losing Tevez; we all know we can pick up two equivalent strikers any time we like.

Rasaprema, well put and I have to agree, our decades of suffering will not allow us to gain such arrogance only practiced by people like our unwanted neighbours.

I would not trade that lifetime of ups and downs for glory, it makes me the City fan I am today.

Tim Cahill right on time and fails to let me down once again.

    http://www.sport.co.uk/news/Football/48340/Cahill_I_wouldnt_want_it_any_other_way.aspx

Apparently he prefers his clubs youth development to Citys wealth which is lauchable, obviously he fails to accept the facts City also have one of the best 5 academies in the world.
