This is our City: Departure Rumour Roundup, Richards, Bellamy, Tevez and Wright-Phillips On Their Way?

Departure Rumour Roundup, Richards, Bellamy, Tevez and Wright-Phillips On Their Way?

I hear the ting of spurs in the wind, that faint old odour carrying the words 'we're going to break the top four' coming from the capital. Already the cockney papers are bleating their hearts out linking Highwayman Harry Redknapp and Co with a raid on our beloved Manchester City for Craig Bellamy and Micah Richards.

If that aint enough the majority of their fans have quietly counted their chickens with all their eggs in one basket as usual, thinking they have us in a bag only I would suggest they look back at that 10 man all time FA Cup comeback with humility. The video highlight to that game is right at the bottom of our main page.

Is it to be believed I says?, surely they would have to pay over the odd's I think to even get a sniff in seeing as we were fleeced by other clubs like Everton etc so it only seems fair.

Lets take a closer look at the bigger picture here.

Craig Bellamy while being on form has contributed nicely to our push for a Champions League spot and I have appreciated his passion, but there are far more wingmen out there who could provide a whole lot more than Bellamy has or can. Without any doubt Adam Johnson is the man for left-wing so I would not see Craig Bellamy as a big loss, I think we should fleece Spurs for all we can if they want him.

Transfer: Probable

Micah Richards as a casualty would also not be a problem with me, I think despite being as young as he is he does not have what it takes to make it to the promised land. A good player on the fringes of the national team with the potential to go further, however I am not willing to gamble on that and would much prefer a proven right-back to replace Richards. Another possible fleecing for Spurs and I would be a very happy chappy and they have been long admirers of Richards.

Transfer: Probable

On the other hand papers have been full of it these past few weeks and now they would have us believe Carlos Tevez wishes to jump ship, the only mistake I see here is the fact they have spoken too soon as the Premier League season is not even over.

I could understand Tevez wanting to leave if we failed to reach the Champions League but it is not over until the final game ends, one word being used is 'Quit' and we all know a player can not quit unless it says he can in his contract. I believe this rumour to be nothing other than rumour but lets not be closed-minded here. If we were to loose Tevez it would be a major blow to our top four aspiration and I cannot see our owner allowing our biggest player out the door.

One rumour was that debt encrusted Liverpool were about to table £30 million despite them currently putting up a for sale sign, laughable at best this was definitely a lame attempt to counter the Torres to City rumour.

Transfer: Never going to happen

Shaun Wright-Phillips has seen contract talks stall and City are sticking to their guns, cannot see much happening here other than Shaun running down his contract. Would like to see Shaun get more playing time down the right however we definitely need a powerful, fast and strong right-back behind him like Maicon or someone.

Transfer: Improbable

FootballBlips: vote it up!

CiTyBlUe, dont know where you're getting ya info from, but I don't think most spurs fans are counting chickens, eggs or any other farmyard produce. we know that this is is a fantastic chance for spurs to push for 4th, and hopefully attract more top players to the club, which city will no doubt do with, or without the CL. there is nothing in it, and we all know it's gonna come down to a moment of madness or even worse a refereeing decision. spurs fan know how it can all be taken away, when we had an away match to west ham on the last day of the season a few years back!

I get my info from Spurs fans I speak too and from viewing Spurs forums that are viewable to the unregistered, I collect the wider opinion in any possible way.

Obviously I do not tarnish all with the same brush but even you have to admit, your fans have done eachother no favours past and believe me when I say opinions have hardly altered.

Just like a vast majority of Arsenal fans with their high superiority complexes, a majority of Spurs fans are equal measure though I understand why Arsenal fans act in such a way but dont understand why Spurs fans do.

The answer to Arsenal fans being so up themselves is due to them being the only club to never suffer relegation since the formation of Division one, now Premier League which apparently makes them gods of English football only their club smacks of foreign imports and they may have a good academy but that also smacks of foreign imports.

Believe me when I say, the way some Spurs fans can be baffles me.

This is exactly what I highlight thinking you have a given right for glory based on what your club have done only, all I see Spurs as is a club who have walked over other clubs to get to the stage they are at.

When your club and fan base have really sweat blood and tear, then come back and preach with some content.

We City fans have sweat blood and tear, do we deserve something to look forward too and a bit of luck? YES

I think so but do we expect and do we think we have a god given right to something? NO we do not.

That is what sets us apart from you and Arsenal fans.

And talking about buying your way, your a hypocrite who needs to learn their place and open their eyes.

Spurs have spent more money to get where they are now, than any other Premier League club accept Man United.

Harry is always in for anyone it's rumoured has fallen out with the gaffer. He likes to wheel and deal.

Put these phrases in correct order:-

    Heston motorway services
    car boot
    brown paper bag
    confiscation of PCs
Angry protests of police heavy handedness from behind gate of plush south coast mansion
Fit daughter in law playing on the Nintendo Wii
Twitching in the witness box, whilst avoiding eye contact with Milan mandaric

Reply: You just can not help yourselves can you you Spurs fans.

Atleast our club was formed by English people of the church of England as a football club, your beloved Spurs were formed as a business mans investment after playing your first few matches.

One of Tottenham Hotspurs owners is Easyjet owner Stelios with a 10% stake, your club were formed as an investment rather than a sporting club and even a large Spurs following are Jewish.

You take your clubs average fortunes for granted, your club has paid its way with other peoples money for so long and have diddly squat to show for it.

    All mouth as usual.

Back on subject Emmanuel Adebayor is rumoured to be on his way also, this is one departure we could do with as long as he is replaced by better.

    Bench warmer at best.
