Some Are Savvy, Others Not So, Shallow Mascherano Vs Tevez The Great

This is what ultimately seperates the great football player from the shallow and narrow football player.

You have the player who will join a club no matter the history or status, then you have the player who only joins a club because they are established winners with glorious history. (not saying theres anything wrong with wanting instant success but I prefer to work for my rewards).

What really hacks me off is, when a football player comes out with a statement to the media saying he would never join such and such club because they have no history, I mean wtf is all that about?.

I can damn well confirm for fact our club has history dating back to 1880 predating FC Barcelona and AC Milan by 19 years, Real Madrid by 22 years, Liverpool FC by 12 years and Inter Milan by 28 years. Maybe not completely glorious but definitely worthy of respect.

I know that once a football player tells their story, the media then add and edit it, but most of what was said is in fact more or less true. So with that said what is with these 'shallow and ill educated in my opinion' football players?

Well as far as I am concerned they are the worst kind of football player, to some point choosing their destination based on present glory, lets not forget high wages and instant success. Its all well and good joining a club for instant success but then what if your contribution is not enough to improve on that success?

This is where the bragging rights of your clubs history comes into it, it holds little affect if it is old history, but if its recently current then its worth bragging about apparently even if you were not part of it.

Javier Mascherano has recently come out saying he would not follow Carlos Tevez and swap a club with history for a club with no history?

The media touched on this story with the usual shallow move of pointing to our players wages as if to strengthen Mascherano's boring story.

I wonder how many people get sucked in enough to believe Mascherano is a great footballer for showing his alliegence to Liverpool FC by aiding to snub Manchester City and belittle a fellow countryman despite the fact Manchester City have shown no interest in him?

As far as I am concerned Carlos Tevez is the best kind of footballer, many against City can only point to his wage but in all honesty the highest paid players at City are Emmanuel Adebayor and Kolo Toure 'considering Robinho is on Santos's bill'.

Carlos Tevez crossed the Manchester divide from the false club of Manchester to the true club of Manchester because he was unhappy at his previous club, unhappy with his previous club and wanted a fresh start.

Manchester City never purchased Tevez's signature with a history book and high wage offer, Manchester City only gave Tevez the chance of a new start, the chance to prove his critics wrong and a wage that matched his previous not to mention the fact he knew he would be loved and appreciated by the City faithful no matter what.

Carlos is a grafter giving his all not unlike another of our players Craig Bellamy, again the best kind of footballer who runs with their heart and not their head and ego.

Mr Javier Mascherano your war of words do not flow with me so before you open your big fat mouth again, try doing some research for once in your life. Maybe you wont make yourself look so idiotic, uneducated and shallow in future.

Carlos Tevez is twice the footballer you will ever be and if anyone has done the right thing its definitely not you, I can not care less what you think of our City but you show a lack of respect for Manchester City FC and your fellow countryman.

Then again Man United FC and Liverpool FC have shown complete lack of respect to all clubs over the years so I guess it is not much of a surprise.

If your comment was an honest and sincere one then I thank you.

I questioned the sincerity and if that was wrong I apologise, however some like to hide sarcasm within a sincere comment and I expect some of my visitors do not hold much like for my publishing.
