Since I took my very first breath, City fans have had to accept the fact we were always going to get robbed more often than not. From the First to Third to Premier League and back and forth, we have had to fight with Superbia in Proelio to get anywhere.
Watching Tony Pulis spit his dummy out to the BBC clearly shows how uneducated he is, its as entertaining as watching a child stand stubborn with his arms crossed and a slapped arse for a face saying, "its not fair, I never get what I want".
Pulis seems to think Stoke City are the only club that gets decisions against only the truth is, all clubs get the same amount of treatment from referee's at one point or another, though one or two have got clear preferential treatment in the past and one of the obvious to all would be 'Fergie Time'.
The man needs to get a grip and stop trying to get players in trouble after a game is finished, Pulis needs to learn to take it on the chin and move on and try be sportsman like.
Pulis on his Parity Rant
There is no parity in football Pulis you muppet, thats what makes football as attractive and exciting so prepare yourself for much more.
With that said, its time for our Manchester City players to stand up and be counted, its time to put Stoke City in their place once and for all and knock them out of the FA Cup and our players earn the wages they recieve.
Both this year and last years league games at the Britannia, Stoke have had a man sent off. Citeh had SWP retrospectively sent off after his kick-out at Delap last year and Viera will probably get the same as both ref's didn't see the incidents. Stoke had to play both games with 10 men, citeh should have too.
ReplyDeleteI take your point that we are all on the receiving end to some degree but as a fan who has experienced the terrible decision you say you have in the past, then surely you can appreciate the frustration when you get 2 or 3 of those awful decisions in one single match.
Pulis' point is that Huth was caught on camera lashing out at Upson earlier this year and got a 3 match ban. That is fair and acceptable. So the cowardly Viera who kicks blokes in the nuts should get the same punishment as he should have been back in the dressing room at 7.50 pm last night. Good for one, good for another.
You were lucky not to get beaten by ten men Stoke twice in two years so just go and enjoy your lucky point.
ReplyDeleteHey there, join the club because we are presidents of the short end.
ReplyDeleteDoes this article speak of Vieira <- how its spelt
No it does not so all your fellow Stoke fans mouthing off and including Vieira in the mix can take their comments and press the reject button themselves.
My opinion, maybe vieira should have been sent of but he did not so there it is.
How about the rough bully bullshit treatment Delap last dished out to Shaun Wright Phillips, Delap should have been sent off 5 times in the same game if that could of been possible.
Two faced hypocritical people spitting their dummies out.
Oh and replying to one muppet Stoke fan, I do remember my clubs history thankyou but just because we once shared the same league does not make you equal to us.
As far as im concerned your virgins to the Premier League punching well above your weight thinking you deserve a god given right to be here wanting preferential treatment.
Sure we were lucky to not get beaten but we dont have the smallest pitch in the Premier League and dont play the worst football of the Premier League either unlike Stoke, I bet if Stoke had a reverse of fortune you Stokey's would end up following Tennis or something.
ReplyDeleteNot to mention the fact our defence is hardly established, once we have a few new defenders in the summer you damn well know we will be up there.
Like i said your club are punching above their weight, look at what happened to Charlton Athletic and Leeds United and you see what can happen.
Your article conveniently evades the main point of Pulis' moan, which is that Stoke had a perfectly good winning goal chalked-off for an imaginery foul on Shay Given. Vieira's offences were a sideshow compared to this.
ReplyDeleteWhy are you lot so full of yourselves? You were in Stoke's position a few years ago and only find yourselves in this privileged position in the last year due to one man's obscene wealth (nothing to do with working your way into this position on merit). Do not get sucked in like the Red side of Manchester and become plastic Prem fans. Stay real - stay real footie fans and don't look down on the so called smaller clubs (you lot yourselves could be in trouble in a couple years if the new financial regulations come into force).
ReplyDeletetheir just a tea pot team sitting mid table all day......MCFC 4 LIFE
ReplyDeletePompey have the smallest pitch in the league. Also about the way we play football?
ReplyDeleteWhat do Spurs & Villa do week in week out, move the ball forward quickly rather than pass it backwards & sidewards without doing anything. But if they play a ball down field, its a pass, if we do it, its labelled a hoof. I noticed Viera "hoofed" a good un to Adebayor not so long ago.
We are punching above our weight are we? Well what about the other Premiership sides punching above their weight.. Wigan, Hull, Burnley, Fulham, Wolves, Birmingham & Portsmouth. Do they all deserve to go down? Lets bring back, Leeds, Forest, Newcastle, Boro & Leicester, just because they are "massive clubs".
I would have thought that Man city fans more than most would appreciate teams punching above their weight. Because in fairness thats what you are doing mixing it up with the top 4 now. And good luck to you, most people want to see someone break the Sky 4 monopoly.
Oh and we wont be going the way of Charlton & Leeds, because our club is run to be financially stable.
Maybe you should ask your fellow big mouth Potter fans why, because the second you lot get something to sing about you use megaphones for mouthes.
ReplyDeleteEven now im rejecting post after post because they cannot string a sentence together without being abusive and arrogant.
Do you even know what the term 'plastic fan' actually means?, it means a cedit card wielding fan that swaps money for glory which explains why Man United fans are branded such after United prices were raised season after season.
City dont fleece their fans and that is clear to see by checking for yourself, even opposing fans get reasonable prices despite the fact lower league clubs charge us more.
Blame a lack of away fans turning up on poor stadiums, bad prices, week day working, travel issues and boring football. Tell you fellow Pottery fans to go check factual statistics before questioning our support.
How many people can take a week day off work every single week and cover the cost of travel, food and beverage every week, price of a ticket every single week and get away with it.
So what if we did not show huge away support at your stadium, just shows playing Stoke is not worth the loss of a week days pay and ticket etc.
To compare Stokes play to Villa and Spurs is clearly delusional, Stoke play nowhere near the same game as clubs like City, Villa, Spurs, United, Chelsea and Arsenal as your pitch is not wide enough and you have no real wide men worth watching.
Your a narrow play it high and hoof it set play club.

My reply to that is.....
Your lot conveniently evade a fact that Pulis's moan aims to get one of our players booked, off the field when clearly Vieira hardly even touched the lad.
Trying to hide the witch hunt behind a rant about referee's, feel hard done by because Faye got legitimately sent off and wont be able to play in the return game to the Pottery.
Sure Vieira could have been sent off but again, he did not so thats that. Stop acting like your the only club to be on the recieving end.
Its Pathetic so just have your rant and move on.
Heres another little fact for you Stoke fans to choke on.
ReplyDeleteWhelan kicked Vieira's achilles twice before Vieira reacted, I see Whelan or someone else did their homework on Vieira's injuries.
What goes around comes around aye.
the point is we scored a perfectly good goal!end of story!
ReplyDeleteNo no no no no, the point is, many clubs have been the victim of a perfectly good goal being disallowed including Manchester City!
ReplyDeleteWhether the Shawcross goal was perfectly good or not is down to the referee and referee's can make mistakes, not that i am saying it was a perfectly good goal as I am not saying such.
End of story!
No I think if you watch Spurs, the ball is pinged onto Crouchs head and Defeo picks up the knock downs. Same with Villa, Heskey/Carew & Agbonglahor. (Remember Arene Wenger branding Villa 'long ball' recently?) Its exactly what Sidibe & Fuller/Tuncay do for us. I did not claim that we played like yourselves, United, Chelsea or Arsenal.
ReplyDeleteWe actually like to use the wings, Matty Etherington is a very good wide player as is Lawrence, they are admittedly not the same quality as you could afford but for a team in our 2nd Prem season they are very good wingers. Etheringtons assists contibuted to 30 per cent of our goals this season, so dont say we dont use the wings.
I think Man City have seen the more brutal side of our game because you seem to struggle with it (so we utilise it) as your defence is going through a transistion period with injuries etc. Against Fulham & Blackburn recently we 'PLAYED' them off the park.
Also Mancini is not faultless in asking the ref to book players, he was stood over Fuller (having made a clean tackle) waving the old card sign at the ref that the Italians so love.
oh no - it is not the end of the story yet. One more game on Tuesday. Unfortunately, I think the return of Tevez will have a big impact - but not as big as the impact Wiley had on the game. I understand that the rub of the green will even out over time, but if you take the game in isolation, then there is no doubting that Stoke were out and out robbed last night. Yeah - Vieriiiiiia should have been sent off - doesn't mean that Stoke would have won. However wiping out Shawcross's goal was criminal. If there was a foul there, it was Given cracking into the striker. Who knows whether Wiley was influenced by Mancini or anything else - the point is he really made a bad decision which gave you a point and took away two of ours.
ReplyDeleteAll as we ask is for parity from Stoke and suggest they try to play real football like the rest of us in the RPem
ReplyDeleteGutted, just found out that Viera is going to be charged by the FA hope that he does not miss the FA cup game at Stoke next week. He is well short of being the player he was and looked poor last night. If he is missing then Man City will have to play someone who can hack the pace and this will give them a stronger midfield. Tony Pulis has behaved with dignity all season when we have not had the rub of the green last night I thing Man City got the brunt of this. Good luck to Man City I hope they break the monopoly of the top 4 as I also hope we keep are Prem status. As for the small pitch and the football we play well we have to do what we do to survive.
ReplyDeleteI would love us to play more attractive football and each year we stop up I believe we will buy better quality and achieve this.
Now its all focus on round 3 between the 2 clubs at the Brit prepare yourselves for another full blooded battle!
Either way you look at it, I dont like the pathetic Roy Keane style play which Hull City and Stoke City play, how can you say Stoke play like Spurs and Villa when they have some very good affective wingmen and Stoke do not, they have wider pitches and Stoke do not?.
ReplyDeleteI hope its full blood like I hoped for before, Im sick and tired of our players being injured and opposing clubs getting away with it so its high time these kind of clubs get what they deserve.
So there are those that like the fancy one-touch Arsenal type football, there are those that like it more direct and a little bit up 'em. I like both approaches - and I love the Prem for the fact that it houses and rewards both approaches. Unfortunately for Man City last night they were neither fancy nor committed in their approach and they were not worth the point they got.
ReplyDeleteIm going to repeat myself...."Matty Etherington is a very good wide player as is Lawrence, they are admittedly not the same quality as you could afford but for a team in our 2nd Prem season they are very good wingers. Etheringtons assists contibuted to 30 per cent of our goals this season, so dont say we dont use the wings." You of course are right though, Stoke dont have any effective wingers. Oh no, hang on Etheringtons assists have produced 30 PER CENT of our GOALS. Is that not an effective wing player??
ReplyDeleteConsidering Pulis played for years under Redknapp and was then a coach & assitant manager for him. With TP eventually taking over Redknapps Bournemouth side when he left. Id say the two managers have a lot more in common than you think, just a difference in resources. Weve also signed quite a few players that used to play under Redknapp. Not a great deal in the old pitches either.
Brit - 100 by 64 metres
W.H.L - 100 x 67 metres
Oh and pathetic Roy Keane style?? Hes won more medals than our clubs have in 30 years or more. So Id take being like him. Why are you having a pop at Hull too?? What have they done to ruffle your feathers?
Moneybags City and their feeble glory seeking fans will be DELAPidated AGAIN at The Brit.
ReplyDeleteUp the Potters!
As a City fan, I can honestly say that we didn't just ride our luck against stoke - we climbed atop and waved a flag around!!
ReplyDeleteStoke could, and should have won the game. Given, who is a model pro, a superb shot stopper and a top bloke is NOT a world class keeper because he cannot handle direct aerial attack.
I like Shay and think he's been a good signing for us, so PLEASE let's not turn him into a boo-boys target. Judge his bad games alongside his good and compare the two. Measure his geniune mistakes against how many open goals Ade or Tev have missed, how many crosses Petrov has spooned or how many times SWP has lost possession after setting off on a mazy run. All of the above could be counted as individual player errors - how does Shay stack up now?
I'm not going on the defensive for any other reason than the fact that Shay should be judged fairly and consistently with his team mates. There were worse offenders at Stoke the other night and we got lucky....so let's be bold enough to admit it, congratulate Stoke for finding a way to rattle "the big boys" and wish them all the best for the rest of the season. At least they have a go! Who here has sat at Eastlands watching Bolton, Middlesbrough et al turn up and play 10 defenders? I know that Stoke came up last week and gave as good as they got...so let's give credit where it's due. Maybe they're not the prettiest side ever to grace the Prem, but nobody can deny they're worthy contenders.
And so, onto City eh? What a terrible catastrophe...4th place in the Premiership by a point with a game in hand and a home game up next against 5th place in a stadium where we haven't been beaten all season. OK, we're not ripping up trees at the moment, but can any fellow Blue seriously tell me that if they'd been told we'd be a point clear in 4th place with a game in hand going into the home game against Liverpool, they'd have been unhappy?
We've come a long way in a short time fellas...and there's a long, long way to go. So enjoy the ride while we're en route, and don't leave your sense of humour or your humility at the door when you set off. There's nothing wrong with being a proud Blue, just have a bit of grace when you show your colours.
The 'mighty' De Jong played on Tuesday night anyway didnt he? Its a pity that Viera isnt playing because he was a weak link for Manchester City, he got outpaced by Delap!
ReplyDeleteNot that it matters, Tuesday nights controversy will have the Stoke players & fans fired up for the replay anyway. Wemberleee wemberleee......
To Scott, I am absolutely happy with where we City are right now and i am still as proud to be a City fan now as i was in the third div.
ReplyDeleteTo answer someone elses question, I dont like Hull along with Stoke and their fans because they come up to the Premier League dishing out the rough and tough Roy Keane game but when they cause other clubs to retaliate they start running around crying like wild rabid babies whining "mummy they hit me again, they hit me again."
Pathetic especially when Potter fans conveniently forget why Vieira fouled Whelan, after Whelan tried to foul Vieira in the Achilles like I said before and where was Vieira's last injury which he only just recently partially recovered from?.
Now Vieira possibly gets a 3 match ban, City loose a player and Whelan gets off scot free.
Thanks Stoke, you just freed up midfield for the mighty DeJong to take his place with maybe Barry and Ireland.
Haha what a result, be seeing you again soon Potters.
Tevez will be back too so hold off on the wembley song a little m8
ReplyDeletestamford bridge , stamford bridge !!!! we r the famous stoke city & we'r goin to stamford bridge, stamford bridge !!! enjoy using those 50 note tissues ???
ReplyDeleteLol Hello little Potter fan, Famous you say? im 36 years old and think Luton and Swindon Town are more famous than Stoke. Well atleast i'd never heard of Stoke until you popped up into the Championship.
ReplyDeleteJesus even Accrington Stanley are more famous than Stoke, Unibond old chap.
