Pre FA Cup Roundup: Manchester City Under Strength But Strong Enough

Some pro United reporters over the past few days would have you believe the trouble in and around the City of Manchester Stadium be the result of City fans but that would be far from truth.

From red flares being smuggled in by United fans (something they adopted from their european experience) to seats being uprooted and damaged, also by United fans, theres really only one direction the finger can be pointed. I picked up on one pathetic United blog Therepublicofmancunia that they were using the lighter incident to point the finger at City fans, what is with that Russian theme anyhow? and why would City fans cause trouble when they were more interested in enjoying the day and win.

Carlitos Tevez cupping his ears were more than what many arrogant United fan thinks, his fellow countryman Riquelme often used that celebration and is currently dropped by Argentinian boss Diego Maradona. The Argentines see this as a clear message Maradona should reinstate Riquelme for the World Cup from Carlitos.

Anyhow swiftly brushing aside the Red Devils and the patsy Gary Neville for more interesting news.

Emmanuel Adebayor will only play a bench part if he trains for two or three days prior to the second leg against United but will not play any part against Scunthorpe.

Stephen Ireland will probably play atleast 60 minutes against Scunthorpe confirmed Roberto Mancini as he is a little short of match fitness we can only presume.

Joleon Lescott wont be back for another week until either the Portsmouth or Hull game.

Patrick Vieira trained today and will hopefully be ready in three or so days which is good news for the second leg again against United.

Carlos Tevez, 'Gareth Barry or Nigel Dejong' will be rested for the trip to Scunthorpe as we know both midfielders are tired, Carlitos has been given time off to recharge.

The media would have you believe we are buying in four new defensive midfielders which I am sure your all questioning as critically as I, since when did we need more when we have DeJong, Barry and Vieira?.

If and its a big if, There is possibly any chance of a defensive midfield arrival then my moneys on Argentine Fernando Gago, I am aware Roberto Mancini does like the idea of having three tough midfielders flanked by two wingmen.

Young defender Dedryck Boyata was disappointed with his performance against United revealing he is his own worst critic, that is a good sign for a young player as it will give him a good foundation to improve and work on.

Valdimir Weiss goes out on loan to Bolton as you most probably are aware, im not sure this was a good move as we would only need the unthinkable to happen with Bellamy, SWP or Petrov to be lacking stength in depth on the wings.

Is Vlad's loan more than just a player needing more games and experience?, should we expect the arrival of another wingman?

Apart from the absences of Kolo Toure , Wayne Bridge and Joleon Lescott we could not be in a stronger position aside new arrivals.

Yes while he was a Arsenhole player but you fail to point out, he is now a City player and I sense your not so sure that United will prevail this time round.

I sense United will go out with egg on face and head tucked between humble legs and sense you will be back to have a little rant about how big your clubs trophey cabinet is.
