Police Hunt On For United Thugs From The First Leg Carling Cup Game

The police have finally upped the hunt against hooliganism.

Sky News reports Police have released pictures of 15 men wanted in connection with trouble at last week's volatile cup tie between Manchester City and Manchester United.

This behaviour should not be tolerated and its about time they clamped down on these morons, the fact that children and the elderly also occupy the crowd obviously does not register in their pea-sized brains.

Eighteen supporters were arrested at the first leg of the Cup tie last Tuesday night after sporadic violence broke out.

Around 1,000 United fans turned up moments before kick-off and tried to force their way into the City of Manchester Stadium without tickets.

In the stands a flare was set off, missiles - including darts and golf balls - were seized and a police officer was injured.

Coins and seats were thrown by some fans during the match, while police were also pelted with bottles.

The FA and Police have apparently spoken to both clubs about their roles and responsibilities in making sure they do not add fuel to any fire.

The media have suggested that Alex Ferguson has told the FA to keep their nose out, implying the Cup has nothing to do with the FA and expects his mob to do their part.

Superintendent Craig Thompson said: "The people who caused the disorder are a disgrace to the vast majority of peaceful and genuine fans who simply wanted to enjoy the match."

"When we catch these people, and be assured we will, they could become subject to football banning orders, which in simple terms means they will be banned from attending football matches."

Assistant Chief Constable Ian Hopkins added: "While the people involved may think they have got away with it, we have spent the past few days reviewing evidence and we are working hard to catch those responsible."

"These people must be held accountable for their behaviour."

The Gallery link is at the bootom of the article just above, sorry about that, I will try to make links more visible in future.

Majority are United fans but unfortunetly for us one or two of a minority are supposedly City fans.

Either way it needs to be knocked on the head.
