Lescott Saga: Hughes, City And Lescott Within Their Rights

Joleon Lescott, the Everton defender solely blamed for Everton's six goal humiliation at the feet of Arsenal FC by Everton fans and the same Lescott that wants out of Everton FC after handing in a transfer request.

Mark Hughes, City's outstanding manager within his right not to go making phone calls when deluded managers from other clubs expect such, thinking they run a premier league club from top to bottom when in fact a club has a boardroom to make business decisions. The same man who has staff employed at Manchester City to make the phone calls for him who in turn approach the board of another club over business.

Manchester City, a football club and business being run like a football club and business should be run, an outstanding football club and the best run community club in England.

It seems Joleon Lescott is now public enemy number one according to Everton fans, whining, ranting and abusing at any given opportunity with cries of disloyalty and it seems Manchester City are improper and disgusting for supposedly tapping up a player?

Well I don't see the English Football Association rushing into anything so tapping up players is extremely far fetched when Everton FC made the Lescott story public in the first place.

David Moyes's words of war amount to nothing what so ever, its just the whining words of a manager that has no power at Everton FC at all. Moyes pretends to be more than he is, upset by having Manchester City shatter his bubble so proceeds to rant in the hopes that Everton's boardroom stick by him out of honour.

Everton fans, i have to say are not the only deluded fans in the world but they are certainly up there with the most deluded if they think the loyalty of a player is paramount.

Football is just another job be it a specialist job, it's no wonder you don't see vacancies for strikers on your local job centre job point as 99.9 percent of professional football players have been training from day one of their 4th or 5th birthday on planet earth.

Not all professional football players have degree's and diploma's, most are just school leavers or college graduates so don't even have the kind of trade skills to go out and find a job like most of us.

Their whole playing career amounts to around 30 odd years, so what they earn in that time has to support the player and his family for the rest of their lives. Some of us working class of all people should know how hard it is to go through a whole new career change halfway through your life.

These players are lucky to come out with a coaching job at the end of their career as long as they put in the hard graft while not playing football, most footballers are pumping at least one quarter of their income into global charities so its not like they are swimming in champagne, living the high life every day of their lives.

Then theres all the tax they have to pay back to the government, the more they earn the more they pay meaning less income, sure if they are lucky to be one of the best they live like kings but that can be short lived easily.

Football is a job so if a bigger employer comes along and offers you a better job you don't turn your nose up at it do you.

Joleon Lescott gave Everton the chance to negotiate, Everton did not care what Joleon Lescott wanted or what Manchester City wanted.

If anyone is to blame for all this mess it's David Moyes for forcing Lescott to go public and forcing Lescott to put in a transfer request, Moyes could have said to City "give us the asking price or walk away" but he did not. Instead he turned his nose up at what the player wanted and played the stubborn, 'i am the big man' ticket.

Everton fans have no right to judge Joleon Lescott or blame him for their clubs first disgraceful lose of the season against Arsenal FC, they should be blaming David Moyes and the Everton boardroom.

Well it seems Joleon Lescott is on his way out of Goodison park after being left out of the Everton squad and left to train on his own so the sooner City have this wrapped up the better as Lescott deserves more than what Everton have to offer which in my opinion is nothing.
