The Spuds Are Waiting For Us To Implode, The Seasiders Are Up Next And We Need Another Win

The word on the street and fibre optic super highway is that, Spurs fans have us down for a huge fall thinking they are strong enough to take forth spot while suggesting we will finish below them.

They even have the front to call our club a bunch of mercenaries as if they know every single one of them personally, though I recall them buying players from us a while ago and also recall them having interest in further purchasing our so called mercenaries.

It seems that the Champions League appearance has gone to their heads, a little would be an understatement. In my opinion under Harry (the king of mercenaries) Redknapp, Tottenham have been punching well above their weight since last season.

They claim superiority over us for last season when we fielded a side largely consisting of Mark Hughes purchases, but fail to see the difference between that squad and the now. They also fail to see that despite all the media hype around our players with stories of player unrest, they think it will affect us negatively making it easier for them to regain a top four spot this season.

The same unrest that is stopping us from picking up one win, the same unrest that has put a stop to Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli scoring goals.

They seem to think they are one player from becoming glorious?, I think that is wishful thinking and delusional to some extent. Without sounding superior I'd say we were far closer to one or two players away from glory.

Glory being able to win a league title or two and get to the final of the Champions League, and not just qualification for the Champions League for one season.

To be frank I find this Spurs rivalry a complete joke and the only reason for their defence that I can come up with would be, the fact we once had a German Luftwaffe pilot play for us, who I will add is an utter Legend and I am a patriotic Englishman descended from a long line of Englishman, some of whom fought in the wars for our freedom.

On that note though we have also had connections with Jewish communities and the latest notable addition is our newest acquisition Israeli Gai Assulin, though I have to say I did not like Tal Ben Haim much as a player and still do not.

It seems they could be setting themselves up for the next encounter against us, and being a City fan we know more than any not to under-estimate anyone no matter who they are.

My heart says if they want a rivalry then they will get one but, I also think they are barking up the wrong tree and under estimating us with a large lack of caution.

When I say rivalry I am not discounting the fact they throw in a portion of hate with that, but we're not concerned with that now are we. They just join a long queue or haters sharing the front of the pack with Newcastle United and Man United, which is a sweet taste on our tongues if you ask me.

Our next encounter is Blackpool who are at the other end of the spectrum where we were not so long ago, with that said I have to say I have been very impressed by them. The Seasiders are a very British team made up mostly of English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish players in the top ten and were only promoted to the Premier League last season.

Complete respect to Blackpool FC, Spurs fans could learn a lot from them but it is another must win so respect aside when the game starts.

Oh and have I forgot to mention the January transfer window and the fact Spurs have to face us in April?

That's something for them to chew on until then, have a Happy New Year.

  1. Have you noticed how Spurs are ALWAYS commentingon us-more than most..You can just smell the fear..
You hit the nail on the head when you talk about mercenaries.........Old Arry and his backhanders are legendary.
The media (Talk sport) being the worst love spuds.Van de Vaarts goal against villa has been placed in the goals of the year , yet our 33 pass goal against Villa and the 40 odd one against Fulham dont even get a sniff...They are blinkered and are trying anything to unsettle us not realising that MCFC 2010-2011 are a different animal...
Roll on tomorrow when we knock the smugness off Holloways face (only saying this after his anti city rant last night).

Ok if you say so, what is a star anyway other than a dot in the sky.

    Bright prospect maybe?

What a deluded article, typical City, chavvy neighbours looking for a fight, you fitting your stereo type nicely. At Spurs, we have a proud history & a tradition of playing football the right way, push & run, pass, & entertain. Your famous for bankrolling an assault on the prem with about as much class as Vicky Pollard. You are always 1 week away from a massive squad implosion & before the end of the season can you honestly say it won’t happen again ? No you can’t. Your obviously still smarting from missing out on the Champions League & yet here you comment on our achievements so far like you could do so much better !! the whole of Europe is talking about Spurs and what an impact we've had & you sit there fuming, wondering why no one is reporting on your "amazing" uefa cup run !! You've not even got to the Champions league yet son & until you are there I wouldn't go shouting from the rooftops too loudly. People in glass houses etc.........Come On You Spurs.

Ha Ha, nice one Spurs fan, deluded as usual. I saw the Spuds blog thing, pretty much the usual low grade rant we've come to expect. As far as I'm concerned City will just continue doing what they've done in the last few games, winning and scoring plenty of goals ( 4-0 v Villa, 3-1 v West Ham, 4-1 v Fulham, yeh ok not top flight clubs right now but look at the way we completely and cynically tore them to pieces.)

Its funny on MOTD this week there's City sitting on level points at the top of the table, Chelsea scrape a 1-0, United draw against Birmingham and all they could go on about is how it's either United or Chelsea.

Sorry Spuds fans but it City are in far better shape than you this season so just keep an eye on the table and leave your classy rants for your old mates Arsenal.

    Yawn.........

Blackpool gave us a mutch better match than Spurs - and it's a pleasure to visit Blackpool.

A visit to Tottenham wouldn't be complete without being robbed by some scumbag. Spurs fans are always praying for unhappy payers in the city mercineries, so Harry can tap them up by saying "x is a 'triffic player, absolutely 'triffic" in the Sun.

Sheik Mansour would have purchased Fulham if Spurs, West Ham or Chelsea were the jewish team he was gunning for. He opted instead to set up across town from a massive club, being bled dry by unpopular american jewish owners. Mansour is doing his best to contrast what an educated, considered, hands-off islamic owner can achieve next door to manchester united - whose owners are just the worst

Something tells me these muppet Spurs fans think their club is run with something other than businessmens money, thats right our owner is a businessman but because he is mega rich, we dont deserve a thing.

    Envy? Jealousy? ha whats that?
