Latest News As Manchester City FC Move Up A Gear

While I ready myself for the start of a new job, career and challenge tommorow, our club have picked up the pace and are on the tail of the current top three meaning Arsenal, United and Chelsea sooner than we all probably expected.

In all honesty I knew we would get there sooner rather than later but did not expect City to move this fast, the club had to first convince the world we were ready for the fight for major honors and world football.

We showed the world there is pretty much no gap between us and United now, its only a matter of time before we make our move. How do I come to this conclusion you may ask, well consider the fact Manchester City had a complete second string defence out against United and you have your answer as they only won by one lucky goal.

If anyone is not convinced Manchester City FC are ready after the world televised double leg Carling Cup Semi final games against United, then all I can say is they are either blind and hard of hearing or they are voluntarily ignorant.

Roberto Mancini is reported to have joined the LMA, League Managers Association which indicates he plans to stay in English football for the forseeable future, this is fantastic news for City fans after Mancini joined City signing a six month contract.

Rumour has it FC Barcelona wants to take our very own wing wippet Shaun Wright Phillips to Camp Nou which is yet to be confirmed, what are the opinions of my fellow City fans?.

I would be very disappointed but we still have Vladimir Weiss.

Another Rumour doing the rounds is that, our owner Sheikh Mansour is showing confidence in Mancini by offering him the opportunity to snatch Frank Ribery, I am hoping Mancini does not take this offer up not only because of the sky high price tag but mainly because Ribery is getting on now and Bayern have had the best of him.

Mean while, we have three games in hand and with three wins in a row against Portsmouth today, Hull City and Bolton Wanderers, that would see us leap frog Villa, Liverpool and Spurs into forth place with a five point advantage so heres hoping to a productive run of wins.

Roberto Mancini has stated Robinho has gone back to Brazil because Mancini said he could, it was Mancini's decision alone in the knowledge that Robinho could play regular football for the upcoming World Cup. If Robinho does return then he will return hopefully injury free and refreshed, sometimes players can loose their way after all they are only human too.

Mancini has shown us he will put faith in our youth and vows to continue to give our youth the chances they deserve, this is also fanastic news as I can confirm we have a very vast amount of talent at our disposal just itching to make a mark.

Three of the four mascots in the picture from left to right look like a few of our players.

Craig Bellamy, Santa Cruz and Gareth Barry.
