Alex Ferguson On Tevez And Terry, City Achieve Record Sales

Alex Ferguson has told Sky Sports News, he understands why his City counterpart Mark Hughes is chasing the England skipper, claiming it is a 'sensible' move.

He added: "I think that's understandable, given the money they've got. They're not stopping. So, if I was in City's shoes, with all that kind of money, then I would have a go at that myself. I think it's sensible.

"He has experience and is the England captain. (Smiling) For some reason they must have known that he was interested. I'm sure there have been plenty of phone calls going on."
　
Meanwhile Manchester City FC have reported that since the arrival of Argentina international Carlos Tevez, 55% of new City shirts sold bear his name and number.

Since last Tuesday, season-card sales have increased by 300% and City is on target to break City's season-card sale record. Last Saturday afternoon City recorded over 6000 people within eight hours at the Citystore and report sales were up 250%.
