I wrote an article once again blasting referees and our opponents for getting preferential treatment, but then found myself so sick and tired of it that I erased the article from existence.
We may as well kiss the Premier League title goodbye right now, the Premier League may as well just hand it to United this very minute. Hell give the trophy to me and ill put it through the window of Old Trafford for them, Right this minute I couldn't care less about the league title.
I am more interested in putting a stop to the hypocrisy in English football, why are referees continuously allowed to freely manipulate games and wrongfully punish clubs. As far as I am concerned for starters there are far too few Premier League referees, anyone who denies that our football is not corrupt with inadequate and biased officiating is deluded.
Anyone who accepts it as part of the game are easy and narrow minded, match officials are protected far to much in my opinion and should be made accountable for mistakes be them accidental or deliberate.
I don't mean being demoted to a lower league for one or two games, I mean punished financially as well as demotion to encourage an improvement in performance as well as consistency.
How many times have you thought to yourself, this referee is a fan of a club who would benefit from misfortune of a club they are officiating? How many times have you predicted your own clubs match as a draw or loss, after finding out who the referee of your next match was?
With that said I believe Bobby Manc was right to snub Tony Pulis, Pulis clearly has an unhealthy level of hatred for us. he told his players to go out and play rugby so why should Mancini not snub him?, Mancini had to stand by while Stoke were allowed to run rough riot over his team by a referee who clearly favours United.
Even a Stoke fan named Anne was surprised her club did not pick up more yellow cards for their heavy handed play, though she was very happy to see Howard Webb allow Stoke to play rugby.
Even Alex Ferguson stated himself that his favourite referee be Howard freaking Webb, it was ironic that Stoke fans were singing an anthem usually reserved for Rugby 'Sweet Chariot'.
Sweet Chariot is a biblical and spiritual song originating from African American slavery times, most notably around the times of the railroad and the American Civil War.
What the freaking hell does it have to do with the Rugby Union, not to mention Stoke?
Is it not surreal that none of these big mouth managers ever talk about putting a dent in the title hopes of United?, but they come out all guns ablaze bad mouthing Manchester City with any chance they get.
Any club that beats United before the end of the season will truly deserve to hold their position in the English Premier League. On the other hand any club that goes to Old Trafford to park the bus and not go out to win deserves to be relegated.
Alan Pardew has opened his trap claiming we still have his team to contend with, thanks for the reminder for I thought we only had one game left to play this season. Since the Ben Arfa slash Dejong accident Newcastle fans and players hate us with a vengeance, which made the witch hunt on Dejong pathetic considering Ben Arfa was only on loan from another club. It should be no surprise Pardew has an opinion on us.
With that said I am looking forward to Champions League football and an improvement in playing personnel. We have plenty of time and money, it is only a matter of time before we achieve our targets on a regular basis.
Well done to our lads for not submitting to Stoke, we certainly did not deserve to lose or draw.
sour grapes!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHow is wanting equality from match officials classed as sour grapes, someone needs to wake up.
DeletePeople like you have no problem as long as its you who benefits from it, then you whine like a little baby when it all goes against you.
I on the other hand hate bad referees even when we benefit.
For the second game in succession Barry was fouled just before the goal.
ReplyDeleteI was flabbergasted Stoke (Rugby) F.C. didn't get more yellow cards.
The foul on Silva should have been a straight Red...but no...not even a yellow.
I agree wholeheartedly with the article...I truly believe we often play against 12 men.
RLFielding
We always knew Stock was a difficult prospect. We don't need to win all matches because united will drop points too. Please we don't need to be down cast we are in the mix and we must deserve to win the championship and not by falsely accusing match officials
ReplyDeletefalsely accusing match officials, are you for real?
DeleteCrouch shoved Barry to the ground before scoring which was a clear yellow card, Crouch gets away with it far to much because of his height advantage.
Silva was deliberately elbowed in the side of the head resulting in his ear being split open, don't pretend it was an accident because players do it week in week out, you don't put your arm over the shoulder of a player without knowing you are going to make contact.
falsely accusing my arse.
Spot on. Webb is an embarassment.
DeleteWhilst I agree in part I think we also have to say that the tackle by Barry on the stoke player in the box looked bad and perhaps could have been a pen?
ReplyDeleteBut I do not disagree with the general tone of the post, some clubs are shall we say blessed with a large amount of "luck".
Can anyone explain how Skirtle gets away with his thuggery week after week?
Luck ?
I can admit Barry is sometimes a little rash but he is never malicious or thuggish, our players have a right to retaliate when clubs start getting rough because there is no need for it.
DeleteSkrtyl is a very dirty player I agree along with Adams, so is Crouch, Wilson and Etherington.
Never liked Crouch when he played for Pompey, still don't to this very day.
I believe England suffer because of players like Crouch and Rooney, they have no respect for other English players playing for opposing clubs.
Just take a look at the level of respect between players of Spain, Italy, Brazil or Germany, they all respect eachother no matter who they play for.
Ill leave this subject for another day though aye.
Spot on.
DeleteFor me we are just not doing the business away from home and it's down to tactics plain and simple. If you're going to win at Stoke you have to be bold and be prepared for a physical encounter, ok there were some poor decisions but that is secondary to the fact that yet again we were poor away from home.
ReplyDeleteIt's like the Swansea game, the problem wasn't the Savic mistake, it was the fact we can't score away from home. You are always up against the possibility of conceding a wonder goal or gifting one to the opposition, therefore you have to look to score a few. How many real chances did we create at Stoke, Swansea or Everton? Not enough.
The last time we scored more than one goal away from home? QPR on the 5th November, and we had to dig that out. It's all down to the tactics, when the opposition lose posession in our half we are way to slow at getting at them. We will take 20 passes to get to their box and by then they have 11 men behind the ball, we have to get in behind teams and stretch them when they're out of position.
On the road we've gone from playing 'go for it' football and reverted to this cautious try and win it 1-0 approach and it's going to cost us the title. Don't get me wrong I don't want Mancini out but look at 3 games Bobby where we had to go for it, 2nd half against the rags in the cup, Sporting at home and Chelsea the other night and we scored in all.
Please Mr Mancini, we have to be more adventerous away from home before it's too late.
Nick,
Manchester
I totally agree Nick but I try not to lambast our players and manager to much considering the positives.
DeleteI know Bobby gets it wrong at times, I was screaming to get Tevez on against Stoke but instead they made him warm up for a full 12 minutes. I mean 12 minutes come on.
We are poor away from home but Stoke should be penalised, considering more players come away injured from Stoke than any other Premier League club.
you tried to buy the league and failed now the complaints are flowing thick and fast from a manufactured so called big club who will win nothing , looks like money doesnt talk afterall , thank god .I am a STOKE fan and I love my club and how they play I dont give a toss about any negative comments . Without your sugar daddy where would you be ?, not where you are now. You are a manufactured so called big club who are winning nothing HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
ReplyDeleteWhere would we (City) be without our sugar daddy?, certainly above Stoke thats for sure.
DeleteEr.....who did we beat in the FACup last May?
DeleteWithout our sugar daddy you wouldn't have got into Europe last season, you ungrateful little turd.
DeleteAs to enjoying the way Stoke play, I imagine you must be the sort of person who takes pleasure from sticking pins in his eyes. Your lot would be more suited to the oval ball game, smashing elbows into opponents faces every game.
Enjoy this while it lasts anyway, you'll soon go the way of other teams who play your style of 'football', e.g. Watford.
This is some pretty paranoid stuff. Half of it doesn't even make sense "easy and narrow minded" in that context doesn't make any sense at all. Then you start giving some wikipedia inspired history of a song when you just start to rant.
ReplyDeleteTerrible article from a very untalented writer I'm afraid
Wikipedia? did they not teach history in your school or did you just not pay attention?
DeleteIm not a writer but simply a blogger and football fan, makes me laugh how many inbreds point out my bad grammar and punctuation only to moan when I don't publish their mildly silly attempt at an insulting rant.
Just imagine what would have happened if Balotelli had led with his arm, like the Stoke player on Silva? I hate to think!!!!
ReplyDeleteTrue, it would have been a straight red, or if not, Sky Sports and the increasingly pathetic MOTD would have played endless replays of it to make sure he got a retrospective 3 or 4 match ban. If we'd had the same amount of, ahem... assistance that United had had this season we'd have had the league wrapped up by now
DeleteWHAT. A. GOAL.
ReplyDeleteYe very good goal that should never have happened as Crouch fouled Barry by shoving him to the ground.
DeleteLike I said Crouch gets away with it far to much because referees believe his height is an excuse.
Seriously?! This is Crouch we're talking about, not Messi. That was a long ball/cross gone wrong FFS.
DeleteRoberto shows respect to the referees, he has never had a go pre, post or during a match despite Referees showing total bias against us week in week out.
ReplyDeleteI have come to the conclusion that referees only respect managers who use the media every game to tell the world they are shit.
Wow, how bitter.
ReplyDeleteYou clearly forget the game against Spurs when you should have had two players sent off, one of whom went on to win a penalty and then converted it to win the game.
Didn't hear you complaining then.
Wow your attention to detail is very minimal isn't it, did you not read the part where I said I hate inconsistant match officials.
DeleteAs for two players should have been sent off against Spurs, what game was you watching Spurs fan.
Oh ye you would say that wouldn't you Spurs fan, its no new news you lot hate us for it was evident last season.
City simply didn't create enough chances. Dzeko needs to take a long gard look at himself. Awful 1st touch. Yaya needs to play behind a striker and Silva should have been rested. We got our tactics wrong and played far too narrow. Yet Johnson remained on the bench. Having said that we due a slice of luck soon and can win all 8 games.
