City Make Liverpool Look Better Than They Are, What Went Wrong?

Dejong for Balotelli at 82 minutes when at three goals down said it all for a half arsed performance making Liverpool look better than they are.

If your looking at this as a groaning whine then your far off the beaten track, this is an honest analysis to support a more than superb away following who deserve so much more than what they witnessed.

Rather than only shout when their winning like Liverpool and United fans, our support sings and shouts from start to finish whether or not we're winning.

I was talking to a relative and City fan this week and made a statement that I was not falling for the sudden improvement in Joleon Lescott alongside Kompany, I don't think Lescott is strong enough and consistant enough to play a centre role when played alongside an attacking wing back like Kolarov.

Last night only strengthened my opinion that we need to replace Lescott, we should have purchased the real strength of Everton ala Phil Jagielka.

Would Gary Cahill be a better punt or would we be better off bringing in a world class center half when we achieve Champions League football?

What all the fuss about from Everton was for baffles me, when they should have been laughing their backsides off as they robbed us blind.

I have given Mancini my full support from day one but questioned that support once or twice, well after Tevez going off no other player other than Silva should have replaced him.

Then substituting our defensive midfielder Nigel Dejong for Mario Balotelli 'our striker' on the 82 minute mark while being three goals down is just a slap in the face from our own manager.

Gareth Barry had an OK game but I feel Dejong should have started alongside Yaya, I think he would have made the world of difference in front of Lescott.

I am actually starting to think Mancini has taken us as far as he can, I know his CV says otherwise but lets face fact.

This is England and not Italy, if we play like that against United we are going to get creamed. We have had a weeks break so there was no tiredness to fall upon and excuses are all but dry.

I, like many other City fans of my generation am honestly tired of chopping and changing managers and want stability but I am starting to wonder if Mancini is the right man after that squad selection and lack of substitutions at the right moments but.

Right now a manager change scares the hell out of me as it more than often results in unsettling a club, OK sometimes it works with the right person but I don't think there are any people better than Mancini right now other than Jose Mourinho who already has a track record in England.

My heart says I want Mancini and City to succeed in gaining Champions League football and winning the FA Cup this season but, if Champions League football slips through our typical City fingers then Jose Mourinho won't be interested anyway ending in another season with Bobby Manc.

One thing that is for sure is, we need three or four more players in because I don't think Lescott is cutting the crust, SWP is probably on his way out only I rather he stayed. Our right back needs covering and, we are in need of a class act wing man who can whip in sublime crosses.

Here's to hoping that we can use this positively by going out and knocking United out of the FA Cup, I'm throwing in an extra bit of prayer time to the man in the bluemoon and hope that he gives my aunt and uncle something to shout about when their in the crowd on Wembley day against United.
