Who is Joey Barton to judge Raheem Sterling? I'll tell you exactly who Barton is.

Who is Joey Barton?

Joey Barton is a jealous loser and a sore one at that who doesn't like Manchester City and will jump at any chance to have a dig.

Joey Barton was so good that not even Everton or Liverpool could bare to hold onto him, shunned by his own City of birth on both sides of the divide. So Manchester City took him in, gave him his chance at the big time and he couldn't even pull that off. He turned out to be nothing but a Bully and Journeyman.

He's best known for hacking down players and sparking brawls on the playing field, stubbing cigars as a senior player into eyes of youth academy players. Running people over and breaking their legs, assaulting a 15 year old football supporter. He's been arrested for assault and criminal damage, was given a four month suspended sentence for admitting assault with actual bodily harm on a fellow squad member and performed 200 hours of community service. The FA charged Barton with violent conduct more than 3 times, has a habit of punching and headbutting players. This was effectively the end of his career at Manchester City.

He went on to commit many more infringements and has collected many more red cards, I doubt that's about to stop either after signing for Glasgow Rangers. He will at some point face our young Patrick Roberts, I can only hope someone warns the lad of this nasty piece of work.

So who is Joey Barton to judge our Raheem Sterling, Sterling is 10 times the player and man that Joey Barton is. 1 international cap Barton says it all, this all seems very well timed as far Barton's concerned. Bitter that Manchester City gave up on him? He's showed his blatant disrespect for Manchester City in 2012 when he lashed out at Carlos Tevez and followed up with raking his studs down the back of Sergio Agueros leg resulting in being sent off, but he didn't stop there as he attempted to head butt Vincent Kompany.

I'm not going to repeat what Barton said about Sterling recently, as I don't believe he deserves his tripe being published here. I'll leave that for you to decide whether or not you want to Google his latest rant.

What I will say though is, Joey Bartons opinion is irrelevant. Doesn't matter what he thinks, all he is is a bitter and poor excuse for a footballer and human being.

So Joey Barton, if you read this, know that there are plenty of us out there who despise people like you, we disregard your opinion because it's hollow and without foundation. English football is much better off without players like you, may that last forever.

"He went on to commit many more infringements and has collected many more red cards, I doubt that's about to stop either after signing for Glasgow Rangers."

The refs up here are super lenient on 'Rangers' players, be that (Oldco) Rangers or the newco tribute act that exists today (Sevco).

So his disciplinary record may improve.

    1. Interesting, my only hope is that he doesn't target our Patrick Roberts, knowing the kind of person he is I wouldn't put it past him.

Roberts will have him chasing shadows and he knows when a hack is coming. He has more class in his wee pinky than Barton has in his whole body.

Sevco fans need to get past the anger and denial stages of grieving and just accept the facts. I'm sorry you had to read their bile.

In terms of football though which is what Barton talked about when talking about sterling not his personal life where Sterling himself hasn't been a saint, Barton ended up with a steady career all things considered.

I dont agree with his comments about Raheem but I see what he is getting at and he was right that if he didn't have pace at times then he would offer nothing, that being said Raheem I believe will become a fantastic footballer and if there was ever anything you could throw at Barton in relation to his comments, maybe it's just that he should remember that it can be hard being a young lad in such a high profile arena and that footballers are human and have families to go home to when we have left the stadiums.

    1. I'd love to know what you think Sterling has done that compares with Barton's track record. Steady career? what as a journeyman and mercenary in the true sense, the guy is a prime example of how not to be in Sport. He wasn't right at all, Sterling has far more than just pace, if Barton was right then Sterling wouldn't even be in England's third tier. Premier League clubs wouldn't employ a player if all he offered was pace, what a ludicrous statement to make or even support. You contradict yourself by supporting Barton's statement and then claim you believe Sterling will become a fantastic footballer, what with only pace to work with?

  4. Barton is an articulate thug always good for a quote. He represents the dark side of football and should have been banned for life for attempting to blind fellow professionals.

Sterling is a reasonable player, but £50m, you're having a laugh. Joey Barton cost Rangers £0. I know which I think is the better deal. Come on Iceland.

    1. Hello Haggis, maybe you need to go tell Liverpool what you think of Sterlings price tag aye. England players come at a premium after the FA started the home grown player quota, there's a difference between English football and Scottish football, for starters you take our best young players on loan and scrape the bottom of our barrel for players like Barton. Believe me he's right at the bottom of England's barrel, if you think Barton's a better deal than Sterling then you clearly have mental health problems.

    1. Did your parents even send you to school? Or were they imprisoned because of you constantly playing truant? You got Barton for free because no English club wanted to sign him, no other club in Europe for that matter wanted to buy him. He will cost your club more on the field in time, he fits in extremely well at your club.

    2. As a pundit at Euro 2016 is it not his job to give his opinion of players whether you agree or not, it is at the end of the day just an opinion. If people think so little of Barton just ignore. As for the mention of Rangers don't really see what they have to do with it.

    3. Pundit? is that what you call him. I mentioned Rangers because Rangers have signed the low life.It wasn't long ago your fans ran riot in Manchester, considering I didn't say anything bad about Rangers I don't see why you're bothered about me mentioning Rangers. I mean a few Rangers fans turned up here mouthing off obscenities, a few I've had to not publish. Because the feel they have an obligation to stick up with a scum bag, so why shouldn't I mention Rangers in the same sentence as Barton?

  7. Sterling's pace is his main asset now. He may well improve as an all round player. But £50m was ludicrous. He's balancing Hart's performance v Iceland so far. And I'm supporting the Home Country.

    1. Que the Joe Hart scapegoat if England lose, it's never the crap defenders in front of him that are at fault. First Raheem Sterling and next Joe Hart, it's pathetic English people being bias against Manchester City and our players.
