Have to admit I was extremely sceptical when Manuel Pellegrini was first linked with replacing Mancini, that was until I got to know the man via anything I could lay my eyes on from the voices of fans from his previous clubs, to records and information on who is Manuel Pellegrini.
You have probably all read enough to make your own minds up on Pellegrini, but I have looked more into the man himself as opposed to his football education and success. The man is a technical thinker as are all successful civil engineers, not someone who rushes into things too quickly unless absolutely sure of themselves. A laid back man with realistic ambition, who demands nothing less than the best from himself with the tools he has at his disposal.
He may not be successful in the title and trophy department but, he definitely makes up for that in the man management department with great experience earned under previous employers. A weathered man that I'm betting will achieve great things under people like Sheikh Mansour and Txiki Begiristain at Manchester City FC, equally I honestly believe Manchester City would be lucky to have this great man at the helm, though only time will tell if Manchester City can unlock the Pellegrini puzzle to achieve the continued success we crave.
International friendlies?, never liked them, agreed with them or care for them. They just act as a platform for picking up unnecessary injuries, who in the end has to pick up the pieces? the domestic mother club of course.
As far as I'm concerned International friendlies are purely an extra money making scheme for domestic football associations, they serve no other purpose because great players don't need a couple stupid friendlies to prove they can play together.
Chelsea crumbled under the FA's plea, now Hodgson wants Spurs and more importantly Manchester City to follow Chelsea's lead in releasing players for these stupid and needless friendlies. I say tell them to jog on.
I'm English before anyone questions my motive here, I'm also patriotic but as far as I'm concerned Manchester City always comes first. After all City are paying the players wages and City have to deal with the unnecessary injures sometimes resulting in players missing the start of upcoming seasons etc.
Hilarious how Ferguson comes out in defence of Roberto Mancini, clearly he saw Mancini's weaknesses and thought Roberto staying would have been in United's best interest. United's inbred fans are carbon copies of each other.
They are flooding the Mail Online among other sites in support of Mancini, bad mouthing our club for sacking him. Hidden agenda if there ever was one, the Fraggle's are just hacked off because Manchester City have moved another step closer to dominating English football. (Didn't even mention the fact Manchester City FC now own an MLS Franchise aka New York City FC). If that wasn't bad enough United also have Chelsea to deal with who are ready to open the cheque book to mount a challenge for next seasons title. David Moyes can't be instilling much belief in the Fraggle fan base right now, I mean what has he ever won apart from one weak Scottish league title?
United fans were against Mancini when he joined Manchester City, saying how rubbish he was especially being a failure in Europe, that was until Manchester City snatched the league title right out of Uniteds hands on the last day of the 11/12 season. Now they're all defending him (that wouldn't have anything to do with them thinking it would have been better for United if he'd stayed now would it).
Rewind back too that day when the Spudyids pipped us to a Champions League place not so long ago, then came all the stuck up gloating and mouthing off. For all the dislike I have for Arsenal and their pitiful fan base, I must thank them for scraping through to claim the last Champions League place at the expense of Trottingham Rottenspuds.
What goes around, always does come around. Oh what a difference a day makes, well done to Norwich for capitalising on our poor end of season.
