TIOC's Future Predictions, Who Will We Sign And Who's Heading For The Door

We all like to discuss our clubs weaknesses and requirements each and every season, this season I believe we lack width in our game relying on wing backs to get forward far too much in my opinion.

The last time I remember us having any width were when we had Shauny Wright Phillips, Martin Petrov and Craig Bellamy a few seasons ago, Bobby Manc doesn't seem to prefer wide players which is backed up by facts like he never utilised Scott Sinclair, over saw the exit of  the above three players without replacing them not including Vladimir Weiss leaving.

Don't take this as a rant against Bobby because he has my complete support but that doesn't mean I have to agree with everything he says and does, I'm holding out for hope that he will realise we have to have width in our game with out and out wing men on board.

So with that said are we strongly linked with any players capable of playing on the wing?

Adam Maher: 19 year old Dutch Attacking Midfielder, not an out and out winger but more likened to David Silva, extremely talented young player that we are heavily linked with but not the answer to our lack of width.

Christian Eriksen: 21 year old Danish Attacking Midfielder, again not an out and out winger but is comfortable playing on the wing. A technically gifted player and one that would give us width, but would still lack that killer aerial crossing skill. One plus side to Eriksen is, that he has desire to move to and play for Manchester City if the media are to be believed.

Omar AbdulRahman(21, Emirati), Alexis Sanchez (24, Chilean) & Marco Reus (23, German)can all play on the wing and have all been linked with Manchester City. Rahman is well documented but is more likened to Yaya Toure but with the quick skill of a Spaniard. We are all aware of Sanchez currently playing for FC Barcelona and Reus for Bortmund. If I were Bobby I'd go for Reus, Eriksen and Rahman but we will have to wait and see. It ain't official until our official site says so.

BUT who would they replace?, my answer is Scott Sinclair, Samir Nasri and Roque Santa Cruz, yes hes still on our books. All of who have failed to make an impact, be consistent or have no chance of being part of City's future, You could defend Sinclair's corner with Bobby's reluctance to pick Sinclair, but then have you thought of why Bobby hasn't picked him much?

On to FORWARDS and we come to Edin Dzeko, apparently not happy at his rotation duty, the media did their part by labelling him a bench warming impact player. Unsure whether he really does want to leave, I'd hate to see him leave unless we captured Stevan Jovetic (23, Montenegron), Marco Reus or Edinson Cavani (26, Uruguayan)another Forward we have been linked with. Whether either arrive is any ones guess.

We lost Balotelli who wasn't replaced, whether that had anything to do with us having John Guidetti back from injury and fit is again any ones guess but, Bobby Manc not giving Guidetti a chance is another mystery we probably won't get an answer too. With that said the media recently had Guidetti down as being used as bait to entice certain clubs to come to the table and sell their players, whether there's any truth in it remains to be seen.

Then we have DEFENDERS, Kolo Toure is the first to leave after confirming he will look to move in the Summer with a view to staying on in England because his family are settled here. Maicon and his father have confirmed he is happy and will be staying at City, Micah Richards is a difficult one so my jury is out but if I had to speculate and can't see him leaving. I believe Javi Garcia has failed to make a big enough impact to warrant a stay with us, worst thing we ever did was let go of Nigel Dejong and Garcia was never going to do a better job. Ok Dejong hit a poor patch but any player would have after the witch hunt he endured at the hands of that crummy little scumbag media and club Newcastle United.

Aleksandar Kolarov a good attacking fullback but never going to be a great, defensively a poor defender and I just don't see his future at City beyond this season. Joleon Lescott's contract is coming to an end as he looks to try keep hold of his place in the England setup, he will likely seek another club in the summer unless City decide to give him a short contract extension which will depend on City capturing replacements first so who are we strongly linked with?

Kyriakos Papadopoulos (21, Greek), Mat Hummels (24 German), Raphael Varane (20, French), Varane would be an ideal replacement for Dejong and Garcia more importantly. He is also capable of playing in his usual position at central defence, you would think with the rise of Nastasic and the solid Kompany that Papadopoulos and Hummels would hesitate on a move to City but that would be silly considering Manchester City only have Clichy as a recognised worthy left back.

Nastasic is more than capable of filling in at left back, an idea I believe could open up more of his potential. Papadopoulos would be the more likely to arrive based on the fact Hummels would probably prefer a move to a more established side like Bayern or Real Madrid.

So TIOC's (wish) predictions are as follows:

Out: Garcia, Kolo, Kolarov, Nasri, Sinclair, Bridge and Santa Cruz

In: Varane, Papadopoulos, Eriksen, Cavani, Reus or AbdulRahman
