Referee Short Changed Us Again Despite Well Deserved Win, Three Points Clear Of Cheating Rooney

Our players went out and played like warriors against Wigan and gained a well deserved three points, clear and a nine goal difference between us and United, just in time for the up coming game against the Spuds who sit third five points behind us.

I'd say Spurs have been impressive but lets face facts here, Chelsea and Arsenal are having a horrid season compared to the last few campaigns, the same could be said for Everton.

It is amazing to see the standard of match officiating this year, it is becoming very political which is annoying because I hate politics and politicians.

We can play a club like Wigan at their own tough push and shove tackling game and get penalised for it but, they can play their own game and get away with it because they're playing like Wigan.

It is one rule for us and another for the rest of the league, Aguero was deliberately denied a clear goal scoring opportunity after Wigan's Maynor Figueroa clearly handled the ball near the centre circle after Sergio Aguero beat their offside trap.

As I said one rule for everyone else and another for little old Manchester City, Kompany and Barry get sent off for nothing, Liverpool's Glen Johnson and Maynor Figueroa don't get sent off for extreme tackling and cheating.

That Twitter Troll and disgrace to England Wayne Rooney is at it again on Twitter, saying "@WayneRooney, Was manchini asking for red card????".

Someone needs to tell him there is no H in Mancini, someone needs to also point out that Mancini is not on the pitch influencing the referee or diving all the time to get penalties.

Nice to know your watching the mighty Manchester City Rooney you cretin, good to know we are occupying a part of that last brain cell you have.

How is that wife of yours you cheated on, whats her name now? seems to have slipped my tongue.

I never watch United play quite simply because their always cheating and to be honest they're of no real interest to me. As long as we are looking down on them I'm happy, I'd be even happier if they were relegated for they deserve it more than Wigan.

Now all we need to do is turn over the Spud's and they certainly do deserve it, after a few of their players and manager were caught in the papers claiming "City are bottling the title race" and "City are buying the title".

Remind me exactly how much Tottingham hot spud have spent over the last two decades, to get to where they are and stay where they are in the Premier League?

Here are some statistics for you:

From 1908 to 1992 the Spud's spent £23.138.449

Since 1992 the Spud's have spent £433.926.00

Spud's current full squad are priced around £164.355.000

Who is telling porky pies now Mr Redkrapp?, you may not have bought all your players yourself but someone has done before you.

See you on Sunday!

Huge well done to our lads for the Battle of Wigan.

I speak as a Wigan fan and so attack this from a different position. I've got two issues:

    - Yes, we (Wigan) got a bit lucky with the possible red card. I'd argue that we deserve a bit of luck, given some of the decisions that have gone against us in recent weeks - but then, as a Wigan fan, I would. We got a bit lucky but it wasn't a clear red as it wasn't quite a 'clear goal scoring opportunity' - it was too far from goal. It could have been deemed as such, but equally it is reasonable not to see it as such. Aguero didn't really 'beat their offside trap' as it was in your half. We were a bit lucky with the decision but the Ref didn't really short change you (it wouldn't have effected the result).

    - I dearly wish that you were right that we (Wigan) play a 'tough push and shove tackling game'. If we did, we might have scrapped out a few extra points - it helps to play that way in a dogfight. Unfortunately we don't play in that way. Ever. Not even against you.

Best of luck for the rest of the season - especially against our relegation rivals.

The referee last night was the same ref that gave Balotelli a 2nd yellow for connecting with Skrtel with his arm. However, last night a Wigan player caught Barry across the head with his arm and only a free kick given? Nothing else! Wouldn't you just love to ask the referee to explain the difference.

In the Oxford English Dictionary under Rooney it says "Cheating thug who would be in jail if he wasn't fortunate to be able to kick a ball around quite good occasionally. Would also be married to ugly fat bird if had no cash" Honest, in black and white!

Wigan fan here. You outplayed us and deserved to win, but can the ref really send someone off for a handball in the centre circle? It's hardly a clear goalscoring opportunity. Also, Milner handballed the area just as blatantly as Figgy, not in a dangerous area of the pitch, but Wigan didn't even get a free kick. Not sure a sending off in the 89th minute would have made a difference to the outcome so I'm not sure what all the fuss is about.

  6. Hey I wasn't insulting Wigan, just pointing out they played it tough with us as have most other clubs.

Right now the only way to beat us is to play it rough, cheat and influence the referee, you played it rough, one or two of your players cheated but well done for not trying to influence the referee.

Mancini's wave is not the same as a player doing it, the referee is not paying attention to coaches and managers but with players they are paying attention.
