The Royal British Legion Needs You - The Poppy Appeal - Rememberance Day

There are few things better than helping someone deserving of your time, to acknowledge someones bravery is important in my book so with that said.

I'd like to hit on a few issues and the first issue is the Royal British Legion, an organisation and charity run for the welfare of the whole of the British Armed Forces.

Over the UK Royal British Legion social clubs are slowly disappearing along with our Churches, it is an alarming situation for the UK as far as I am concerned considering the vital work they do for our country.

That is why I urge people of the UK to pledge a small if any donation to the Royal British Legion to help those who have helped and continue to help others.

Look out for the man or woman in a Soldiers or Sailors uniform giving out Poppies with a donation, wear a poppy and be proud that you have helped this great cause.

These guys have helped veterans of World War one and two, right up to the present day and continue to help whenever and where ever possible.

Who am I?, I am not in the British Armed Forces out of choice but my Grandad and Dad were, Earlier this year I lost my dad to cancer and my aunt asked the Royal British Legion for a Standard Bearer to be present at his funeral and the Royal British Legion made it so. I never got the chance to thank the one who made it possible but I got to thank the Standard Bearer himself and it was a great gesture that I will never forget.

I am not a political person and I don't agree with war unless its the last resort and there is no other option, but that don't change the fact I believe these guys and girls deserve our help.

A donation can be as little as 10 pence and gets you a warm feeling knowing you did something positive for a day, I donated £3 and got myself a metal poppy badge to sit along side my MCFC Supporters badge.

I find it a little disheartening when I see masses of people walking past poppy guys and girls, ignoring them like they are not even there when half of them have fought for this country that those people are taking advantage of but despite that I do not judge.

Instead I believe they just need to be reminded, I work along side a couple African chaps and even they give the time of day to those ex veterans.

That for me to see is a huge deal.

Again if you see a poppy guy or girl please do consider donating and make a difference.

If you want to learn for yourself what the Royal British Legion do then please do visit their official website HERE

This is our City thanks you for your time and support!

Message To Jay Bothroyd In Reply To His Message To Manchester City

Go watch the highlights of the Manchester City v Villareal match, 2nd Nov 2011, then tell your club they better think again if they think they can bully Manchester City into submission.

Just because you turned over Chelsea with a lonely one goal difference means nothing considering with all due respect to aging Chelsea, they are far from the title winning team they were seasons back.

You will face a much tougher task out-muscling Manchester City like that, I'm not blowing my trumpet here but merely stating a fact. Manchester City's firepower makes Chelsea's look mid table, you only need look at current statistics and watch Manchester City play to see it.

He said: "We have to frustrate them as much as we can and try and nick a goal.

“On any day if a team doesn't turn up they can be turned over. Blackpool showed that last year and others will this year. The Premier League is the best league in the world because anyone can beat anyone.

“We're under no illusions that Man City are a world-class side, but we have to make it difficult for them.

“They're the kind of games you look forward to because you're playing against some of the best players in the world and you've got to try and embrace that."

I say "Villareal picked up five yellows against City but should have had far more but the referee went light on them. Villarreal's Wakaso Mubarak was pulling, pushing and shoving Pablo Zabaleta here there and everywhere.

Kicking at his heels and sticking his elbow in and should have seen red, very very dirty player in my book and makes Dejong look like a hamster.

Wakaso even got in the face of Zabaleta after Wakaso took him out, whats all that about after deliberately fouling a player?, I mean you're on live television, obviously Wakaso thought he was innocent doh."

Respect to Villareal for putting up an Everton performance, they certainly played like gladiators and frustrated us if only for the might of Manchester to prevail.

Our lads did us proud and put in a true Pride in Battle performance, all of them deserve a big pat on the back so with that said.

Bring on Queens Park Rangers!

Fan Letter Sent To Carlitos Tevez, The Way Forward Is For City To Play

Recently I sent a letter to Carlos Tevez via City Player Care, whether or not he received it is your guess as well as mine. You can read the email below:

'To Mr Carlitos Tevez,

I am a life long fan of Manchester City football club as are my family, I wish to thank you for your past service to our club up to the point of us playing Bayern Munich in the Champions League, which you turned your back on.

I was born in 1975 and from an age capable of understanding, chose to support Manchester City. I joined the ranks of the City faithful knowing full well we were in a struggle with hard times ahead, so with that said you can understand why I feel the way I do with what, I have to say next.

I could not care less whether you refused to warm up or refused to play against Bayern Munich, the important issue is that your actions led to you not playing. You could have made a difference and gained us a draw if not a comeback win, instead we lost the game and you embarrassed our club.

That to me was a kick in the teeth and I am sure it was just as much a kick in the teeth for our fans, for this I can not bring myself to forgive you unless you were in a position to sincerely apologise to the whole club and fan base.

Right now there is talk in the papers that you could sue our Manager Roberto Mancini for defamation, if this was to happen then it will only make matters worse due to the fact Roberto Mancini has full support from City fans.

At the end of the day you refused to act positively which in turn led to you not performing for your employer, Manchester City FC. The people who pay your wage are the fans as well as the club and many feel you have betrayed them, our club took a chance on you and brought you to Manchester City and you're paid wages we can only dream of, to play a sport we could only dream of playing at your level.

All it would take for this matter to resolve itself would be for you to publicly apologise, then our club could either give you another chance or allow you to leave for another club and continent. By now you will be aware your stock has plummeted due to all this mess, Manchester City are set to lose millions if you were to leave, have you not done enough damage already.

The PFA are bound to support you based on current laws and rights within English football so it is no surprise, but you are only making things worse by not taking control of the situation and fixing it. Instead you leave it to people like your representatives and zombie lawyers.

We have children and families just like you who are our priority before football, but we still find time to respect you and pay your salary. No player is ever bigger than a club, not Maradona, not Pele, not Messi, not Ronaldo (Brazil or Portugal) not even Carlos Tevez.

Be the man and do whats right for you and the club instead of whats right for just you, we respected you as fans so now I believe you owe us a bit of respect back, you play in a shirt and for a club we worship so put yourself in our position.

Yours Sincerely'

Carlos Will no doubt play for us again if we are to protect ourselves from losing him for nothing, which I am not happy with right now but what has to be done has to be done.

Whether he comes out and publicly apologises remains to be seen, we will now see what a true player and person he is in the coming months.
