This is our City: Hearing Moyes And Fergy Whine Is Refreshing, Time To Step Up The Title Challenge

Hearing Moyes And Fergy Whine Is Refreshing, Time To Step Up The Title Challenge

Well what can be said?, talk was that Everton were our bogey team but I disagree, I prefer to think that we have just been on the receiving end of too many bad referee's vs Everton. Referee's at Goodison tend to let Everton play their own game and often get away with tough tackling for 90+ minutes, cue the Evertonian faithful telling me how wrong I am.

Which makes it sweet to hear Moyes (the second most annoying manager in the EPL) whine about Kompany after Tim Cahill brutally slid in a tackle, trying to make out Kompany deliberately stamped on Cahill but we all know Vincent is not that kind of player (Roy Keane, Joey Barton).

Since Lescott was sold by Everton Moyes has had a chip on his shoulder when it came to Manchester City, which is no big surprise considering he and Alex Ferguson are best of mates.

What is hilarious is how his own players bully and play rough all the time, one thing they are good at is playing rough and avoiding injuring their opponents, and he has the cheek to accuse Vinny of foul play.

Moyes also accused the City faithful of manipulating the referee forcing him into giving City advantage, hypocritical considering his own clubs fan base do the same week in week out being so close to the action in a very tight stadium.

Hilarious!

Alex Ferguson first praised Stoke City's fan base in the papers before kick off, only to accuse them of causing United to drop points. Then proceeding to whine about Peter Crouch's style of play claiming he fouls all the time.

Something his side could not cope with which if I am correct, is United's problem and not Crouch being a dirty player. Don't get me wrong I don't find Crouch appealing but he is far from dirty.

It was sweet is to hear Rooney went off injured, Ive always believed what goes around comes around. Karma!

The Hargreaves situation could not have turned out any better, making a great comeback with Manchester City and scoring his first goal in his first competitive match. I truly believe United's medical staff made the wrong choices for Hargreaves but, I respect Hargreaves for not laying blame and taking responsibility for not making the decision of an operation in the first place for himself.

Players put just as much faith in doctors as much as anyone else, sometimes we all put too much faith in them and forget half the time they are playing a guessing game with peoples health and lives. They are playing god but are quick to deny such, they guess what medicine would be best for you in the hopes it is such but that's the only way unfortunately.

Hearing Alex Ferguson defend United's medical staff is no big surprise considering if he did not, then he would be taking responsibility along with them.

With all that covered this month could not have been any better seeing United finally drop points and level with us, seeing Everton finally get their just deserts and finding out I'm going to be a dad for the first time.

Happy Days!

Rooney didn't start it was Hernandez in his place and he went off in the first 5 minutes. Evans was injured in the warm up. Rooney may be out a few weeks, but i have sneeky feeling that he'l be back for the 26th.
Moyes is a complete hypocrite - especially on the Cahill injury. Kompany wouldn't have been landing on him at all if he hadn't slid in in the way he did.

It's refreshing to hear that you are using the skintest club in the Premier League as a benchmark as to what you want your little club to achieve and I've no doubt that City (the Michael Carroll of football) , will win a title or two .but your bitter comments just confirm exactly what you are , no class , no dignity and gone from being liked by most neutral fans to being hated by all . Enjoy your good fortune but remember , the ones you kick on the way up will be the first ones to kick you when you're back on your way down . :)

The only club we're using as a benchmark is Barcelona at academy level so the person commenting and suggesting otherwise must have their wires crossed for Barcelona are not in the Premier League and United are not Barcelona.

full of shite. you lot didnt come out of the woodwork till the cash rolled in, call your self true supporters, and as for your manager he doesnt know a tactical move even if he fell over it, the money on the pitch does it for him, we put a fight on yesterday and you were scared, your subs prooved that. remember a few years ago your support was like rooneys head, (PATCHY)the money will dry up the players will want out and you will go back to your armchairs......sad

I see the poster comparing us to Michael Carrol and accusing us of having no class chooses to remain annoymous, funny how you talk about kicking, as that is what everton did for 90 minutes on saturday, the only problem was they were kicking our players instead of the ball,as for us being the most hated.... ha ha ha funny thing jealousy, we've endured the lows, now we're enjoying the highs however long they last, why don't you go down to your local chippy and get some salt and vinegar for that chip on your shoulder.

sorry to disappoint you but ive supported Manchester City since 1981, born in 1975 but not old enough to make the choice for myself until then.

Considering we were back then at the most a runner up team you can hardly call me a glory hunter, but then its no surprise you come out with all that tripe instead of a valid argument against.

Seems ive touched a nerve :D

  9. Always had a soft spot for City as we ran such parallel lines at times over the last thirty years. Sad to see the Kopite and Manu arrogance creeping in so early in the game. Everton played well yesterday just no real pace and guile up front and there was very little rough play on either side in reality. Cahill does push it at times but if you've played footie at any level you know when you've been done! Check the replays and be honest about what you see.

Man City are the closest thing the game of football has to Cancer. I hope we find a cure very soon because cheating your way up the league is a cheap shot.

You're not Man City any more, Man City died when Thaksin Sinawatra conned his way in - you are a Middle Eastern guys toy, with a load of foreign players - wearing the Man City kit. You are a dead rotting football club, animated by drip fed money - you have absolutely nothing to be proud of but everything to be smug about. So be smug, but don't forget, the 'financial tide' will go out again soon and no amount of cheating or brown envelopes will help you then.

I would hate to lose my identity the way you have.

Mark, you can frame your soft spot and try sell it on ebay if you can but I wouldnt hold much hope.

We've had all the 'we liked you when you were the whipping boys, the neutrals liked us blah blah blah' lark and its old, dusty and out of date.

Ive checked the replay and it was not intentional as far as im concerned so Match of the Day can keep on playing it all they like, Cahill is to blame for being the same old Cahill and if he never slid in so tough it would have never have even happened.

You need to wake up and stop being so delusional, blaming us for what United, Real Madrid and AC Milan are guilty of and change the record for the only person your making a fool of is yourself.

  17. A well balanced everton fan has a chip on each shoulder. What a load of moaning twats. I'm sure they would be only too pleased to get money from anywhere. As for VK "doing" Cahill - Moyes is just employing the old Taggart tactic of deflecting the blame from his pisspoor tactics and team of timewasting cloggers.

As others have pointed out - if Company hadn't been forced to avoid Cahill's lunge then Cahill wouldn't have had VK land on him. From my seat in the front row of the top tier directly above the incident, it was pretty clear what Cahill was trying to do and it wasn't anything to do with winning the ball.

Surprised that Everton fans on here do not think that their team were over physical. Every tackle made by Everton players was fair and City players were diving all over the place. The referee was biased and only booked their players and both goals were yards offside. Now stop being biased. You lost to a much improved team, that you normally beat. Jealousy is a terrible thing. Before you all start bleating about selling out. I believe Kenwright is touting your club for sale eveywhere, but their are no takers?? You would jump at the chance of a billionaire taking over. Then you would all be hypocrits!

I'd like to make a statement:

If I am so so wrong and Everton fans are so right then why did the BBC’s Phil McNulty express his concern at Everton’s tactics against City, its hilarious how Everton fans are voluntarily dumb when it comes to their own clubs style of thuggish play.

I have to praise David Silva for the amount of times he gets mauled, the little titan just gets on with it.

Now despite them losing they are bigging themselves up saying they produced the type of approach Manchester City will have to get used to playing against during Saturday's game at the Etihad Stadium.

"The Toffees delivered a disciplined defensive performance against their big-spending opponents, with Jack Rodwell handed a man-marking assignment on David Silva."

As far as I saw we were dominating them all over the place and stats dont lie either, they were lucky not to concede more and if it was not for Tim Howard producing some lovely saves and not for the woodwork they would have lost by many more goals.

They make out we're blinkered but infact, it is they that are blinkered.

As one poster above noted, the Everton fans can bleat on all that want to about "losing our soul" to some big-money baron, but Kenwright is touting his club for sale to just such an owner like a desperate 40-year old junkie prostitute flagging down cars from the street corner.

And you know what? That aging and aged working girl is likely to find far more takers than a marginally insolvent club with a tired whiny manager, now-skeletal squad and no viable stadium to call its own for the future. Hardly a surprise, is it? My prediction is that Everton will be relegated (deservedly) before it finds a new owner, much less a well-heeled one. Oh well, at least the majority of their fan base can return to their traditional weekend activities, such as drinking, bin-dipping, drinking, and burgling flats...!

Moyes chose to start the game without any strikers because the cynical game plan didn't need any. Not only did he limit his own players, the negative tactics contrived to make the game as dull as possible. I feel sorry for anyone who paid to see this. But it wasn't a surprise.

Howard Webb tried, as best as he could, to keep 11 Everton players on the field, despite the continued attempts to disrupt City from playing football: this was far worse than anything Alladyce produced with his clogging, brutal style at Blackburn. And what happened to Cahill was karma, nothing more.

A moronic, reckless, studs up challenge, delivered at speed, Kompany had no choice but ot jump. The suggestion that 'he done' anyone says more about Moyes than anything else. It's just a shame that the dim-witted Hansen saw fit to play the same tune on his tired old banjo. Everton got what they deserved out of the game: nothing!
