Alexi Sanchez Has No Preference Though Barca Are Naturally More Attractive Being CL Holders

Lets face it FC Barcelona are going to be more attractive than any other club on the planet right now because they hold the Champions League crown and have Lionel Messi BUT.

Do not write off the home of football ala England with the oldest and most prestigious domestic cup in world football ala The FA Cup, then FACTS like the English Premier League being the most watched League on the planet, or the fact that the English Premier League has three times as many contenders for the League title than Spain.

Many have the notion that the Spanish League is now the best in the world solely on the FACT that Spain won the World Cup, wishful thinking I might add because the best league in the world would logically be the league that develops the most interest with the bigger following.

OK FC Barcelona are like I said current European Champions but lets face another fact, they only ever have to challenge one other club ala Real Madrid. They breeze past most other clubs in the Spanish league without breaking a sweet (with all due respect to those clubs).

'Gino Pozzo, the son of Udinese owner Giampaolo Pozzo, has stated that highly-rated attacker Alexis Sanchez does not have a preference between a move to Barcelona or Manchester City.'

Sanchez has been reported to have cancelled his trip to Barcelona though, I have been wondering whether that trip was even true.

We have been told by the media Sanchez first wanted to join United, then it was Barcelona, I'm starting to believe the player has no preference myself.

Clearly no player would turn down Barcelona but the truth is, City have outbid Barca, United and anyone else who has shown interest. There is no issue between Udinese and Sanchez so I see no reason for Sanchez to boss his club about, so with that said I believe we are still in with a shot on acquiring the superstar.

Our chance of acquiring Sanchez is clearly at 7/10 with City being the highest bidder, the only way Sanchez will end up at Barcelona is if Barca up their offer which is highly unlikely giving their financial situation.

If they cannot outbid us then Sanchez cannot move anywhere other than City, other than choose to stay as Udinese until a later date.

Watch this space.

  1. I disagree with some points you made in this article.to say that the best league in the world would logically be the league that develops the most interest is very untrue.let's face it EPL is simply over-hyped,how many players in EPL do we have in fifa xi currently.it's not necessarily the interest in EPL but rather the hype that ensures that it is the most watched league in the world.dont forget that the voice of the majority is no prove for justice.meanwhile i dont know if the writer of this article watches la liga at all.it is not as if barca is playing in a weaker league, barca is simply a force to reckon with.the 2nd best for now in spain is real madrid.the rest of the teams barca competes with in la liga can compete keenly with all other teams in EPL and vice versa.barca's current perfomance simply shows they are top class and not because of the below par performances of teams in la liga.they have proven it twice and we all witnessed the 2nd one in the just ended champions league final match when man united were outplayed, outclassed, outmuscled and reduced to chasing shadows.prior to the match,no one would have anticipated a one-sided match like we all saw.Barca are simply in a class of their own for now..

Drew clearly you have taken offence of what has been said when its plain and clear to see there was no real offence present.

You act like they have attacked FC Barcelona and have discredited them but that is quite simply wrong, as is your highlight of Fifa's XI, Fifa's Eleven is dictated so if Luton Town won the Champions League which is highly unlikely, then Luton Towns whole first eleven would be Fifa's XI.

As far as I am concerned the bottom half of La Liga are the equivelant of Englands second league, Lets not deny a fact that Barca and Real are expected to win pretty much every single league game other than when they face eachother.

There is only one delusional person here and it is not me, The English Premier League is the most watched league in the world, most anticipated league in the world, England is the home of football and Wemblet stadium is the biggest and most presitgious stadium in the entire history of world football.

No matter how many time spain win the World Cup, no matter how many times Barcelona or Real win the Champions League, La liga will never be the best league in the world until viewers switch channels for good and until the english Premier League becomes less of an attraction.

English Premier League is still the most competitive and entertaining league in the world. Now that is a fact no one can question.

  3. Yes, am a Blaugrana; die hard fan 4rom birth, but even on average basis, I don't agree with the above article...EPL by miles the best in the world? Hmm,I disagree, I stil bliv EPL is better on paper bcoz of their media but not on the pitch...two horse race?..., hav u analyzed the facts or perhaps u jst heard it 4rom sb, typical english media influence...
...the last time anothr team won La Liga wz about 6yrs ago, same can be said in England,(Man U 'n' Chelsea) or perhaps in Italy(Milan 'n' Inter)....
...The gap btwn Barca-Madrid and the rest in Liga simply showz that thoz 2 r 4rom anothr planet(Man U vs Barca CL Final, a good example), n EPL is considerd competitiv because most r equally average teams...Consider in Europe, for the last 20yrs, 6 La liga teams hav reached the finals; more than any other league, 'n' last year's(2009/2010 season) Europa winners Atlet.Madrid finished 9th in the same season; catch my breath?...
...I also owez laugh @ people sayin' in La Liga, playr'z fitness is low(surely,Lass definitely wouldn't agree); becoz of dis some even got a far as sayin' Barca can't beat stoke city 'n' dat Messi can't perform in EPL, what a joke; this is 1 of Barca's best season(check the records),'n' over 90% of these playrs won the world cup, surely they hav bn playin' 4 long n beyond normal circumstances; not physically fit? Nah!...our futbal is beautiful...Soccer is entertainment 'n' mostly the fans hav 2 be entertaind...La Liga playrz 'n' fans understands that its not jst a matter of winnin,' u hav to win with style...
...By the way, seriously how many Ballon D'or hav ever come out of England...Pliz,don't get me started of La Liga!...'N' keep in mind that recently 9 La Liga Players were in the top 20 of Castrol rankings 'n' the current FIFA World best eleven,8 players r from La Liga, 'n' how many from EPL; None! Best league in the world,eeh?...I don't think so!...Barca, More than a Club!

Blah blah blah is all I got from this last comment, so the best league in the world should be based on the Ballon D'or, on Spain winning the World Cup and on the style of Lionel Messi?

Clearly a heck of a lot of people are delusional but Il entertain by saying:

Everyone who knows me knows how a dislike United so will value my opinion when I say, United would have ruined Barcelona had they not lost their spark.

Yes thats right United were lucky to win the league title, were knocked out of the FA Cup, have lost theirhold over the English Premier League.

Barcelona beat a United team in decline and next season will show that with the loss of Scholes, Van Der Sar and maybe even one or two more by the end of the transfer window.

The English Premier League is the best league in the world because it generates far more interest, the media have nothing to do with that interest.

Skysports, ESPN, Setanta and all the other sports channels all show each and ever league possible but still, the English Premier League is found to be the most watched, most anticipated and most enjoying league in the world.
