Leicester City Reaction: Time For Some Players To Move On, City Show Dzeko How Much We Need Him

Everyone wants a piece of Manchester City and that's a fact, Leicester City turned up on the night and performed even if they had a bit of luck so full respect for that alone.

Roberto Mancini's facial expression spoke volumes after the first goal, we were sloppy and slow off the block.

Some Leciester City fans were shouting abuse, thinking they don't deserve the chance to have any of our young players on loan for that reason alone. Then there were also whispers of hate thrown in, surreal especially when prior to the game I heard some Leicester City fans stating they were glad to have a bond with Manchester City FC.

Could I call that being two faced or could that be just down to a divided Leicester City fan base?

I put the display down to these facts, Jo Alves, Patrick Vieira and Shaun Wright Phillips were extremely poor and if it was not for James Milner, Adam Johnson and Carlos Tevez we would be out of the FA Cup.

So glad we now have Edin Dzeko on board as we were crying out for a front man to partner Tevez, I believe Jo is that useless that I'd be happy to swap Jo for Vassel if only just to get rid of him.

Have to admit I was tempted into heightening my expectations this season due to a couple of factors but, a top four place and Champions League berth is about right.

That is unless Dzeko can hit the ground running and Mancini stops choosing Jo, Shaun and Vieira, with all due respect to Vieira he is no longer up to the demands of today's English Premier League.

All in all a deserved draw for Leicester City and the reward, a day out at the City of Manchester Stadium.

Players I wish to see gone from our squad sheet a.s.a.p. are Adebayor, Jo, SWP, Bridge and Vieira, I am very surprised Boateng is having such a hard time adapting and expected him to be a top signing which is just baffling the hell out of me but another season hopefully will do the trick for him?

I don't think you should be too surprised that 30,000 people don't all think the same thing. Or that in the heat of a match some of the less civilized among them might say nasty things to you. All part of the game. I thought it was a good afternoon all round. MCFC fans helped create a cracking atmosphere.

Was there myself yesterday and have nothing but prise for the Leciester City fans, we were talking to a few when the City team bus turned up and they were asking after City and seeing how our season was going etc etc.

As for Jo, he offered nothing and i've no idea why he's in the starting line up, the news today says that 5 clubs are after him, let him go.

One thing i didn't like yesterday was booing him off the pitch, don't think much of him but you never boo one of your own players off the pitch.

Black and red looked good yesterday and would've loved to City come out in a black and red kit.

I'm never surprised when it comes to human emotion, I'd say MCFC fans did more than help create as from where I was sitting City fans created the atmosphere with a little help from Leicester fans.

Anonymous, 10 January 2011 11:25 I was there too and trust me when I say not all Leicester fans think the same way, it would be naive to think they would.

I also spoke with Leicester fans and yes they were a great bunch but, I also heared what I heard with my own ears from other quarters.

It would be wrong to only point to the good, without emotion football would be rather dull.

"Could I call that being two faced..."?

Better would be to call it stupid and short-sighted. All football clubs have dickhead fans, and Leicester City are no different. However, the vast majority of Leicester fans (and Man City fans come to that) are decent people who just want their team to win.

It was a good match yesterday, with both teams giving it a real go. Pity that you didn't concentrate on that, rather than making snide comments about a small element of Leicester fans.

Oh dear, yet another ManCity fan suffering from victimitus. Sure there was some abuse from our fans but only after a large number of your own singing sounds about our city being a sh**hole etc etc! Anyway I saw many Mancity fans milling around the ground both before and after the game and there was no sign of any animosity from either side.. so grow some!

I was a great game and it's a shame that you come away with such a negative viewpoint. You were, at the end of the day, lucky to get the chance of a replay.

    LaLaLaLaLaBamba!!! : )

The two last commentors need to learn to fucking read before they start opening their big fat mouthes again.

Lucky to come away with a replay?, obviously you only see what you want to see, if it was not for Mancini playing fringe players like Jo, SWP and Vieira you would be bitching right now becuase you would be out of the FA Cup for sure.

If anyone is lucky its Leicester because the real Manchester City did not turn up, wait until your lucky replay when you see Dzeko on the squadsheet.

As for you ForFoxSake, negative would be to not praise Leicester for effort and that I did, there is also nothing negative about pointing out we have some crap and past it players either.

    Go cry elsewhere

Come on everyone get a grip. It was good attacking game of football played in front of a full house - with two sets of real fans (both good and bad), all in all a credit to both teams and the fans. I was there and there was no nastiness at all I could see above the usual banter. We (Leicester) played above ourselves - Wellens and Abe were immense and dominated the midfield. Was really impressed with james Milner and Tevez who were both really up for it. Bring on Preston away this weekend.

Pity your your fellow Leicester fans cannot spot a compliment when they read one, seems their more interested in my opinion on our own players and not Leicesters.
