Delusional Opposition Will Make For A Stronger Manchester City!

In all probability we will be this coming seasons prized scalp for every other club which is nothing new as we have been for the past two seasons, our thick skin has got us this far and we have got through the most of it so lets look at what we have had to put up with from opposing fan and media lately.

I had a very brief chat with a United fan once and here's what she had to say, "You may buy the league but you will do it without history unlike the mighty United".

My answer was quick and devastating, "If I recall right United have been buying the league from day one, You may support United but you know nothing of Manchester and Mancunian history you jumped up little glory hunter".

First it was "We have no history" only according to history we have just as much as Man United if not more.

Next it was "We are buying the title" and "we do not deserve it", only history states if anyone deserves a little happiness it is City fans.

Followed by "We can not buy the title", we were not the people saying that we could or are trying too now were we.

We have some rather unintelligent opposition if you think about all that has been said up until now.

With United fans saying rubbish like you can buy the title but you will never be as big as United because you do not have the history, I mean how childish is it and coming from grown adults makes it all the more amusing.

They forget that logic and history states that if there were no Manchester City who by the way actually are the only real representatives of Manchester, England, then there quite probably would be no Man United as they are now.

They could quite possibly be in the same position Leeds United were not so long ago or non existent even.

"City are killing Football" was another one that made me chuckle. Was it not Man United and Real Madrid that started buying players for insane sums of cash and being a patriotic Englishman myself, I found it surreal when I heard that "City were to blame for England's World Cup disaster".

On that note who was it exactly that chose to leave Adam Johnson at home in favor of lesser players, who was it that left Joe Hart in the background after a superb season with Birmingham City.

Not to mention the fact the England old guard utterly failing to live up to their Premier League Club standards.

And not forgetting "City abandoning their youth for mega money signings"
In our first team we have Gunnar Nielsen, Dedryck Boyata, Greg Cunningham, Javan Vidal, Shaleum Logan, Abdisalam Ibrahim, Vladimir Weiss and Alex Nimely three of which are English making up part of our twelve English first team squad players.

Most of these players came from years of work at our academy and were not purchased or tapped up from behind other clubs backs at aged 16 or taken from other clubs academies, that is the way of clubs like United and Chelsea that abandoned their academies for big money signings which in effect inflated the transfer market.  Sure they had help from other clubs like Real Madrid but the blame lay solely at the feet of United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool being they were the power at one time in English football, so logically should have given England the best they could which stopped after the arrival of Beckham and Gerrard.

City fans should be very very excited about the players coming through our academy as we speak, there are some very exciting youth coming through the ranks right now.

It is obvious the opposition loves to cook up a good story catering it around their own needs, living in their bubbles floating around voluntarily unaware we are about to shoot them down.

One thing has managed to surprise me though, Chelsea fans have started to jump on the hate wagon. Only last week I had a Chelsea fan say something familiar and I had a dose of Deja vu, "Your club has no history".

I have to say I'm rather impressed that I have got through 26 years of putting up with this delusional opposition and believe if your a fellow City fan, you should also feel good about it too.

We have been up and down the leagues, experienced the highs and lows and not many clubs can say they have struggled as much as us which gives us a better platform for the future, we can never forget our past as it is what makes us Manchester City and what makes us City fans who we are today.

"Typical City" has got us to where we are now so I don't think we should be so eager to rid ourselves of it, its part of who we are and I think there are clubs fans out there that could do with a bit of grounding themselves.

With all that said I have to say I'm extremely excited about the coming season, not to fussed about winning a league but more excited about seeing how quick our fresh new look team gels and watching us achieve sustainable Champions League status with a trophy or two if possible.

Very exciting times for us City fans aye.

They are all scared of us. In an honest moment from a Man United fan I had the comment 'It's like a nightmare I just can't wake up from'. So much hate and passion against us it is unbelievable. It is going to be hilarious when we win something and truly take their toys off them.

The great thing about football is that it is about the future - and the truth at the moment is City have one and the rags don't!
