With Man United slowly falling from their throne, Leeds United thought it fit to get in on the act early and stick it too them.
They are however not the only ones, neutral fans across the world wide web are wanting Manchester City FC to crucify Man United in the Carling Cup.
After Alex Ferguson's ranting about fielding youngsters against City in the Carling Cup on January 6th 2010, and the humble pie Leeds United dished out today, I can hardly see bacon face fielding more youngsters against City, would we honest City fans really want a weakened United team anyway?.
I would much rather bacon face field his strongest side so the victory can be all the more enjoyable and seeing his pitch side reaction to the lose was fantastic.
Before Leeds United knocked Man United out of the FA Cup, I thought it be a nice idea to entertain myself by taking a gander over to a United blog full of, well ill leave it at United following RepublicofMancunia to see what United fans had to say about the game and boy was I not let down.
First United fan to leave a comment said: "Some games are worth the wait………….Bring on the scum time to make them experince what it feels to be City …………"
Sure is, especially when it bites you back.
Another interesting Comment from another United fan was: "United team:
Kuszczak; Neville, Vidic, Evans, Fabio; Welbeck, Anderson, Gibson, Obertan, Rooney, Berbatov.
Subs: Amos, Rafael, Brown, Carrick, Tosic, Giggs, Owen."
Now forgive if im wrong but by my count that is 13 first team players, its very amusing to hear Alex Ferguson rant on about youth. Only United pretty much have no youth fit enough to get them out of the debt hole they are currently in, what they do have has been wrenched from other clubs youth academies.
I could go on but I will leave it there and say how satisfying it is every time United fans get a dose of reality.
Now there is just one small matter of Manchester City FC knocking Man United out of the Carling Cup and we can look forward to a much better blue year.
Big, Big big big thankyou to Leeds United FC.
With United out of the FA Cup, Chelsea FC hopefully sealing the Premier League and a hopeful knock out of United in the Carling Cup by us, what more could we ask for?
Now united will play a stronger team wednesday... yep, cheers leeds -_-
