Better late than never!
Yesterday a Liverpool blogger/fan was lynched by fellow Liverpool fans for being blatantly honest, the Liverpool fan in question admitted he thought Mario Balotelli was sent off because his own clubs players were dirty cheats.
I can see where he is coming from because when Joey Barton stubbed a cigar into one of our academy players eye and assaulted Dabo in a training ground incident, I was livid and jumped to the forefront of the Barton out brigade.(I certainly was not cheering Barton on when we recently faced QPR).
I don't tolerate cheats as much as thugs and thankfully at City we currently have no cheating players who blatantly dive at any given chance or crowd the referee to intimidate him into submission.
You can follow the incident HERE
Police are currently investigating a racial attack by a Liverpool fan who tweeted on our Micah Richards official twitter account, 'Twitter user WillMadine94 tweeted 'You big fat n***** u r s***. Martin Kelly over u all day for England. Play for Africa!!!'
Micah Richards later replied on his page OfficalMR2: 'Love the racist abuse. Keep it coming.'
Smart reply by Micah but the problem with that tactic is, it only serves as encouragement for the morons to come back an carry on.
The issue is being investigated by Lincolnshire Police.
I have to say Luis Saurez in my opinion was another guilty of trying to cheat and get our Vincent Kompany sent off. Martin Atkinson clearly needs to be dropped to the lower leagues, he is just not good enough and the standards of referees are falling. (what ever happened to all that respect the referee blah blah, I don't see Liverpool being fined by the FA right now, not even investigated).
I once had a lot of respect for Liverpool as a club but now, all that respect was wasted for they certainly don't deserve it.

But City deserve respect?? For ruining PL with their insane transfer fees. City are probably the least respected club in Europe ATM.
ReplyDeleteMaybe your respect isnt there anymore because you expected to walk all over us. Which you didn't.It was a good game of football and that's all that matters. If you were to talk of diving against Suarez then what do yo have to say about Richards, especially with his built, diving to ground as though he was an international swimmer?Balotelli should learn to stop having such an attitude then maybe the Ref would even consider second guessing him. Typical City fan..just like their players their egoes gets the better of them!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd say most players from all clubs will do anything they can, whether it's diving, holding a player at a corner or whatever to give their team any slight advantage. If a player can get an opponent sent off they will as it can only help their team. Not saying it's right, but it's the way the game is now - win at all costs. ALL clubs have players that will cheat so it's no good any team trying to take a moral high ground here.
ReplyDeleteAgree fully with what you have said. I also read a blog from a Liverpool fan stating the Liverpool players got Balotelli sent off. He was also ridiculed by his fellow Liverpool fans. They were saying other teams do it so it is alright??? Long gone are the days when Liverpool stood up for the better things in Football. Maybe that is because they were winning trophies at that time?
ReplyDeleteTake a look at Milners dive at Anfield then try to tell us all you have no players guilty of trying to cheat
ReplyDeleteHi guys, not posting to be inflammatory at all, (I'm a Liverpool fan by the way) but the Liverpool fan getting it in the neck Jaimie Kanwar is known as writing articles just to get reactions. Pretty much everything he writes is garbage, with about a 10% hit rate for accuracy or judgement. He seems to revel in being the centre of attention, probably because he was neglected as a child. As regards the sending off, players of every club go nuts when an elbow is suspected, it's not a Liverpool thing per se and and every media pundit seemed to agree that it was a second yellow. In summary, please ignore that twerp Kanwar and the dickhead posting stuff on Micah's wall (Again, racism is hardly a Liverpool thing - I've never heard any racist abuse at Anfield, unlike many London grounds inc. Wembley) and good luck for the rest of the season. Apart from you play us, obviously :)
ReplyDeleteTheres a big difference between going down after a tackle and diving, I don't remember one City player in the last 25 years atleast to have dived at all. Same can not be said for United, Chelsea, Pool and Arsenal, I challenge anyone to prove me wrong.
ReplyDeleteIn reply to Lee, get over yourself for the moment my respect for Pool went out the window, were when I witnessed hundreds possibly thousands of Pool fans slagging us off online, twitter, forums and websites.
ReplyDeleteNot even Arsenal fans have turned on City as much, if anyone had a valid reason to have a go at us it would be them.
Seems to me like Envy and Jealousy probably plays a large part, well done for going to spec savers and stocking up on red tinted glasses for they are clearly doing the trick.
Without the generous assistance of the referee Liverpool would have got nothing from that game. Seemingly every City foul was punished by a booking, the total of which (six & one red card) suggested a thugfest of Watfordian proportions when there was hardly an angry tackle made throughout the game. Odd how nothing much happened regarding the similar fouls (and diving and rolling around) committed by Liverpool players.
ReplyDeleteI have little sympathy with Balotelli, however. He'd been watching the same game as the rest of us and could see that the referee was handing out cards to City players like sweets, yet still managed to get sent off for two pointless (and soft) fouls within minutes of being brought on. He might be a fine footballer; he's definitely an idiot.
I have to say that Ballotelli and YaYa go to ground very easily and I'm a City fan.
ReplyDeleteLet's rid the game of cheating as much as we can. The players and managers give refs a hard time but they could help by being more honest in some situations.
