I give complete respect to Wolves for bringing it to the City of Manchester Stadium but I'd also like to point out that Kevin Doyle is a cheating scumbag who deserves no praise and should be ashamed of himself for his performance which discredits Wolves.
I have re-run the incident with Lescott leading up to the penalty that never was a penalty, video evidence backs up my opinion that Kevin Doyle was initially leaning backwards while Lescott was tackling. As soon as Lescott leaned into Doyle, Doyle then proceeded to lean forward and simulated a diving motion not to mention his constant attempts to win free kicks.
With that said we deserved all three points and this is exactly what we are up against, we played against 14 men and triumphed as this is exactly what we're up against.
Unfortunately with wealth comes envy and with status comes value, I say unfortunately for in the world of the under-dog of which we once were, we have become a prize scalp.
I really don't understand why every other club plays like Wolves did against every club, Man United clearly get away with a few three pointers because clubs just turn up to park he bus praying they get a point thus gifting United way to many points. Which in turn gifts them the league title unless clubs like us in the future, and Chelsea in the now have out-standing seasons.
It's simple really, keep Dzeko quiet and Tevez will punish you, keep Tevez quiet and Dzeko will punish you, keep them both then quiet, Silva, Yaya and Johnson will punish you.
Aleksandar Kolarov was was utterly on top of his game and I knew he would come good for us, he was top class before he joined us and had everything in his game.
Carlos Tevez as usual is the master magician (Fergy are you watching), soon I will have to order in an extra few truck loads of praise because Carlos, your quite simply the best player in the world.
I never believed the hype about him being homesick and wanting out, I think it was all a load of rubbish. Carlos looked as happy as can be with his children watching on.
Finally you say lets talk about our new signing, Edin Dzeko looked promising and oh what a delight it finally is to have two sublime front men.
Due to the fact he had not played at all recently due to the German winter break, Dzeko did quite well despite Wolves keeping him quite with a double team.
He held the ball up well, created chances and looked very comfortable on the ball, which is a very good sign for us.
Pablo Zabaleta was also great going forward but I am still not sure whether we have the right man for right-back, I still think this is our weakest position and I say that due to the fact Boateng seems to be struggling to adapt to the speed of English football.
The game brought back memories of how we were in the good old days, with it the heart in my throat and the exploding brain feeling. With that said our defense was somewhat baffling, I mean it was like they were in another world. Maybe having two attacking wing-backs put to much pressure on Kolo and Kompany?, along with Dejong I am putting it down to an off day although they still played with heart and conviction so deserve praise as all of our squad deserves.
Finally no Jo and praise for Mancini, what a top draw man and a man we have been crying out for for decades.
Lee Mason and his linesmen were utterly appalling as Dzeko was two foot tackled by a Wolves player, the fact that Dzeko skipped over and play was waved on should not have stopped the booking. Again Lee Mason also failed to book a Wolves player after a second offence, and only decided to write his name on the back of a yellow card instead.
Five minutes of added time and McCarthy was full of thanks, there was hardly any incidents stopping play in the second half that warranted five minutes and this was clearly Lee Mason giving Wolves a chance to steal a point.
This is why we deserved all three points, well done boys you did us proud.
