Because it serves no purpose or advantage for Man United, United have an 8 point lead and Balotelli will serve a 3 match ban with 6 games left.
The FA have already shown complete and utter contempt for Manchester City all season, charging Balotelli now would once and for all prove to the world that the FA are an organisation with a not so hidden agenda thanks to their continuous attack on Manchester this season. They're already under scrutiny thanks to Man United's fan Sir Dave Richards embarrassing himself and the FA with an attack on Fifa and Uefa, without any shadow of doubt Man United fan and Chief Exec David Gill had a hand in not further charging Balotelli because it serves no real purpose for his club or the FA.
I had hoped they would further charge Balotelli to prove my point, but in all honesty they've already done so this season. Though they're not the only people who have had it in for us. referee's Chris Foy, Martin Aitkinson, Lee Mason, Mark Clattenburg, Howard Webb etc, their actions against us always seemed to serve advantage to United, aside the 6 - 1 against United considering we played out of our skin for that historical win.
If you haven't already found out, Chris Foy and Lee Mason are officiating our next two games so we can kiss good bye the extremely slim chance of a title win. We will not be winning the Premier League title anytime soon, unless we take the start of this season into next season and not let up.
While Sir Dave Richards and David Gill remain at the FA, until we learn to beat these so called referee's we don't stand a chance. Right now I want to hate every single club that turn up at Old Trafford just to park the bus and not even try to win, but it's not in my nature to hold grudges or hate unless it's United that is (reserved for United only).
I'd buy into the notion that I'm paranoid if it was not for knowing that people at our club and fellow City fans agree with me, hell I've even had many fans of other clubs tell me they believe we have been maliciously and unfairly targeted by match officials as well.
Don't get me wrong here because I am well aware our players are equally to blame with our poor away form, many a time this season I have been screaming at them for not showing the passion and determination that I would show if I had the opportunity to play for Manchester City week in, week out.
The hypocrisy of English football today is an utter disgrace, which leads me to believe England will never win a major trophy while Arsenal and United are around. Their English players have no respect for Manchester City's English Internationals, you only have to look at Spain's, France's, Germany's or Brazil's camp to spot the difference to see there are no over indulged ego's like at those two rotten clubs.
We're ultimately to blame for our own lapse in the final third, but deep in the back of our minds we all knew we were due a huge helping of poor officiating and negative attention. Balotelli just made it worse and despite his largely positive contribution this season, I can't bring myself to forgive him as easily as I did early on in the season.
This week I came across United fans claiming that Owen Hargreaves is as much to blame for City's short comings as Balotelli. They pointed to two of the four games that Balotelli massively contributed too, highlighting that if it was not for him we would have probably lost them games.
The truth is Balotelli's often invisible man trick has lost just as many points if not more, on the other hand Owen Hargreaves played no part in our season and caused us no negativity what so ever. Which leads me to believe United fans hate the fact Hargreaves signed for us despite not contributing to our cause, and despite United medically mistreating the player and disgracefully booting him out of their club.
The same club that neglected the families of the Munich disaster, turning their backs on them while celebrating the unfortunate event each and every year. The same fan base that laughed at their fellow fans spray painting our famed pub, Mary D's with an insult on our fallen legend Marc Vivien Foe.

The very same club that encouraged Roy Keane to play the nasty piece of aggressive work he was on field, and injure fellow professional footballers at any possible chance he got. If he played today would he have been lynched like Nigel Dejong was?, I highly doubt he would be or would have been.
I accuse The FA, the PFA, the KNVB and Newcastle United for maliciously and aggressively ruining Nigel Dejong's career, he has never been and probably will never be the same player he was after the witch hunt he was subjected too. They have completely destroyed the players character, while Hatem Ben Arfa has fully recovered and continued where he left off at Newcastle United, Dejong is and will be forever judged by that unfortunate accident.
In my opinion we should rid ourselves of Mario Balotelli despite his contribution, he will never respect our club or shirt and always want to end up back in Italy one day. I'd rather our club stick by Nigel Dejong and find another great striker who wants to fight for us, rather than stick with such a volatile and selfish player like Mario Balotelli.
If we have no choice but to stick with the kid, I won't be forgiving him anytime soon. He will have to cut out the bollocks and show the world hes the best striker in the world while playing for us for me to change my mind, but I don't think he has it in him.
Why include Mike Dean ... he is the best referee on the lidt and is the one who is prepared to make the hard and correct decisions. He has been in charge of a number of City games this season and has been straight and fair.

United fans will probably point to the fact Balotelli will be available for the derby, thanks to not being further charged by the FA.

Always the victims.... its never your fault! The referee's make bad calls all the time in big games, just because its happened to you this year doesn't mean you are being targeted. Just admit that you haven't stepped up at the most important time of the season, thrown away games through poor management decisions and stupid players (Balotelli). Its clear that your lack of experience and again POOR management has let you down. Balotelli is a disturbance in the club and yet you lot think he is a "Legend" though these rumours that were created to make him sound brilliant were all denied by him on National TV to Noel. Shows how pathetic some fans could be. Better luck next year ;)
ReplyDeleteClearly this season has not been a level playing field in the Premier League for the two Manchester clubs. And no it has not been just a case of every referee getting the occasional decision wrong every so often.
ReplyDeleteWhat everybody seems to miss is that there is a very clear commercial logic for why United would be favoured and (this season) City punished by the officials.
The FAPL make most of their money through selling TV rights to countries where United have built a mass fan base over the years (some would say "glory hunters" but I couldn't possibly comment). Chelsea would probably be the next biggest team in this respect, while City are a long way behind - although probably coming up faster than anyone.
If United aren't winning trophies - as looked possible this season until quite recently, then that overseas fanbase wlll dwindle, the TV companies will sell fewer subscriptions, and hence the TV rights will sell for less (bidding for the 2013-16 rights starts soon).
The FAPL also have a number of match referees who have been generally identified as having a pro-United bias, and since the start of our poor recent run they have been awarded most of City's games. My list is slightly different from the one in this article but since the end of February they have been allocated to 5/8 City games(62%) including the games announced but not yet played, compared with 9/26 (34%) up to that point.
The two months in which we had a 100% record were the only two months in which none of these referees were appointed to any of our PL games. Our record without them in charge is W 16 D 2 L 2 (80% wins), WITH them in charge it's W 6 D 3 L 3 (50% wins).
I made out my list of pro-MU refs before checking these stats, not with hindsight. One of them also refereed the FA Cup 3rd Round including the infamous red card decision against VK, which had such a huge impact on our overall season. Another was responsible for the farce that took place at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
What can we do about it? "Sweet FA" is the phrase that immediately comes to mind. Hopefully we will improve again for next season, and make it that much harder for them to deprive of us what some of us feel should rightfully have been ours this time.

ReplyDeleteThere are divers getting away with it week in week out and not getting pulled up on it yet you only focus on a single United incident. How many players from ANY team have been punished by the FA for a dive?
What about Andy Carroll's disgusting dive the previous week. That definately deserved a retrospective ban as he was not even touched. He's a complete idiot as he had a great chance of scoring if he had not dived. What a t!t. I'd have gone mental at him if I was his manager.
The only way will will reduce the cheating is by retrospective bans for blatant dives. Even if we only started with those where there was absolutely no contact it would at least be a start.
You can be damn sure that if a City player tried to dive, we certainly wouldn't get given a penalty.
DeleteIm happy to say we rarely see any of our players dive, I've only ever seen Adam Johnson go down easy once and we got nothing for it anyway, we rarely ever do even if our player genuinely go down.
All I can say is, "its United and Liverpool isn't it", they get away with everything.
Liverpool got away with murder against us this season, both clubs have cheating diving players all over the field.
As for Ashley Young well well well, he's just another young English player corrupted by the disease that is Wayne Rooney and United, trained to cheat and walk off.

Even Uefa are in on the anti City act, we have been fined because our players took to the field one mnute late in the second half against Sporting Lisbon.

This post is quite a bit off topic, but bear with me. What do you think about copying Barca's current model? Think about it. A three man defence of Lescott, Kompany, Toure. In central midfield we could have Silva, Pizarro and Toure keeping the ball. Then put Kolarov on the left wing. Richards on the right. Then Nasri and Aguero up front causing havoc.
ReplyDeleteDoes it sound a bit farfetched to you? I know I'd be glad to see us go all out for once. The games against Sporting Lisbon and Sunderland show me that there's no problem with our squad. This team can score goals whenever the hell it wants. The issue is motivation and I believe that Mancini has failed in this regard.
I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts.
I'm a fan of the 3 5 2 system but I don't feel we have the right wingbacks for the system, while Richards is more than capable of backtracking, Kolarov is utter rubbish and I hope he is sold on along with Adam Johnson who has absoutely no defencive game at all.
