Manchester City Are Finally Flying High, City 2 Chelsea 1, Read It And Weep Zak

First of all to Mark Hughes, his team and to our City players. You're performance was the trademark of a City heart, you brought renewed meaning to our moto 'Pride in Battle'.

I, we salute you.

I was contacted by an Arsenal fan who goes by the name of Zak recently, he accused us of being a disgrace to England and made it clear he would be cheering on Chelsea tonite.

I reserved my answer for after the match and could not publish Zak's comment as it was unfit for young eyes but just want to say.

If any club is a disgrace to England it is Arsenal for failing to field almost any English player let alone English International, our English youth out number Arsenals by atleast ten to one.

We are an English club with deep tradition within Manchester, an English City and are the forefront of Community work within England winning all awards.

Zak also branded us City fans and Mark Hughes as arrogant, thinking that we think we deserve to be in the top four and that we are not fit to be dust on the shirts of the current elite.

Well Zak, when we do eventually break the top four it will be because we deserve to be there for fighting our way to the top and if any fan in England deserves to be there its City fans.

The same can not be said for Arsenal who have always enjoyed hand outs from Europe at the expense of the rest of the Premier League you disrespect with contempt because they have never had the financial aid to compete.

Do not judge us, you have no rightful place too.

With that said our overrall performance was twitchy but also fantastic, we road our luck at points but Shay Given proved me right in thinking he is one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

One player failed to impress but I dont wish to spoil a great win at home so will continue with, the pride is definitely back in Manchester.

I would like to finish with, I am absolutely gob smacked with the attendance, I never thought we would match an atmosphere fit for our old home Maine Road at the City of Manchester Stadium, boy was I wrong to think that and I am glad I was wrong. You fans made me proud to be a City fan, we were completely and utterly fantastic so well done.

A deserved victory.

With Chelsea Up Next, Manchester City Players Did Us City Fans Proud Against Arsenal

One thing is for sure, Arsene Wenger came to City believing his young Arsenal side could destroy us, his lack of respect for City and Mark Hughes highlights how arrogant the man is.

Collectively each and every one of our players did a great job, I have given Micah Richards a lot of stick lately for his dip in form. Against Arsenal he proved me wrong and pulled a performance out of his bag that I thought would not come again so soon. Lets hope for his and our sake that he keeps his head down and continues to regain the form that got him into the senior national side.

Chelsea are undoubtably the toughest opponents in the Premier League so this will not be a walk in the park, Blackburn showed exactly how hard Chelsea are to beat but also showed that they are not invinsible.

Our players are going to have to be in tip top form for this encounter to work in our favour.

With that said im looking at this as a, not so bad if it ended up a draw despite the run of draws that have frustrated me as much as any other City fan.

One encounter I will be looking for us to win is the one where we knock Man United out of the Cup and bend a few noses, most of all old rudolf's.

Now that Mark Hughes is playing Carlos Tevez in the hole behind Adebayor, we should be looking forward to seeing the Tevez that played for West Ham arrive. After that superb goal he produced against Arsenal, its hard to see how it could not happen.

Vladimir Weiss, I have been waiting for so long to see him play in the senior side and followed his progress best I could from Academy level. It was so fantastic seeing him come on against Arsenal and make such an impact, I am sure we are all pleased for him and hope he keeps it up.

Like any other City fan I wish I had a direct line to our players dressing room just to tell them and the manager what a great job they did and are doing, but due to our society evolving there are proper lines of communication these days.

All we can do is hope they read our blogs and forums at the right moments and/or take our frustrations and sometimes impatience as positive and constructive criticism. One thing is for sure, we all want whats best for our club be it a player or a fan.

What I'd like to say on behalf of all City fans is, best of luck against Chelsea lads, we will all be behind you no matter where or when as we always have

Leave your own comment for the lads fellow City fans if you like, whats to say they dont read them.
